The beautiful Fancy Folk Art stamp set is being revisited by the Papertrey Ink Sr. Team. It is one that is sure to entertain and inspire as it is full of florals that are waiting for you to build them through multiple step steaming, or using your Copics, pencils, or even watercolors. I loved getting it out again and looking at it with new eyes.
For my first card, I used the Fancy Folk Art stamp set to build my background. I first began with watercolor cardstock and the Cover Plate: Center Stage die. I used my die cut as a stencil to create a watercolor background using ink blending and droplets of water. I used Aqua Mist, Summer Sunrise, and Lavender Moon.
I then stamped my flowers using Melon Berry, Bright Buttercup, Spring Moss, Hawaiian Shores, Lavender Moon, and Aqua Mist. I stamped my sentiment in Lavender Moon on a banner cut from Sweet Blush cardstock and tucked it under an Aqua Mist button placed in the center of a die cut butterfly from the Life is Beautiful stamp set.
Next up, a sweet thank you card using the beautiful Delicate Details die behind my Fancy Folk Art image.
After die cutting, stamping, and heat embossing my Fancy Folk Art image, I used my watercolor pencils to add a bit of color to my flowers, adding adhesive pearls here and there.
I stamped my sentiment at the top of my card using Melon Berry ink, with the flowers stamped in Harvest Gold and Spring Moss.
Wishing you a beautiful March! Thanks for your visits.
Melis

I had forgotten about this set. Your cards/projects always showcase stamp sets in such a beautiful way.

I meant to mention the sweet background you created with watercolor and the cover plate in the first card. That technique has all kinds of possibilities. Gorgeous!

Your second card is my absolute favorite. It's dainty, sweet, and the soft colors are perfect for that particular card.
