Hello and welcome back to another group post for Papertrey Ink. Today we are celebrating super heroes and stars. My first project uses the new Dress Up Dolls: Super Hero stamp set and dies.
My sweet little nephew, Jesse James, turned 8 this weekend, and we spent the day with him Saturday celebrating his special day and baptism. He is indeed a mini super hero in my mind, and so I created a bookmark for him, as I know he loves to read. I embellished the medium glassine bag using a stamps and dies from the Dress Up Dolls: Super Hero stamp set and assorted Papertrey Ink circle dies and felt. I especially love the Stitched Circles die cut in the background.
I used Green Parakeet cardstock and a Moments Inked: Binder Page die to create my bookmark. After die cutting, I stamped across my bookmark using the Moments Inked: Posted II and Paper Clippings: Congratulations stamp sets, stamping in Green Parakeet ink.
I then added my die cut super hero, adding color using my Copics. I also added a few enamel dots and a die cut star, cut using the Sketched Stars die.
At the top I stamped my sentiment using Enchanted Evening and added assorted Papertrey Ink ribbons.
The new Paper Clippings: Congratulations stamp set and dies were used on this next card. I used the beautiful, large "Congratulations" stamp to create my background, stamping on Aqua Mist cardstock in Aqua Mist ink.
I then used the Shaker Shapes: Balloon die and stamped my sentiment once again on the background of the balloon, using Hawaiian Shores ink. After filling my shaker shape with sequins from the Shakers + Sprinkles Sequin collection, I added coordinating paper to the front of my balloon, die cut and stamped stars from the Paper Clippings: Congratulations stamp set, and twine at the base.
I love the delicate, detailed paper clippings die, and after snipping a few of the streamers from this die, I stamped and colored in a few stars and confetti, and added them to my card, finishing my sentiment vertically down the side. This stamp set is beautiful and works well for celebrating many different occasions, such as birthdays, graduations, etc.
