Oh how I love this new mini kit called Color Pop Butterflies from Papertrey Ink! It's got the sweetest, loveliest butterfly images I've ever seen :). My first card uses the 3-step stencils in the kit to create my background. I sponged color over my stencils to create my small and medium butterflies, flowers and leaves.
I used the color palette of Sweet Blush, Lovely Lady, Melon Berry, Mint Julep, and Aqua Mist. My large butterflies were created using the large butterfly stencil and Wedding Pink Glimmer Mist. I then added stamping to each image using the butterfly images in the stamp set.
I then die cut a couple of the medium butterflies from white cardstock and stamped them with their delicate details and layered them over stenciled butterflies. I chose to use the Keep it Simple: Just for You stamp set as my sentiment, and stamped it on a banner cut using the Tag Sale: Quilted die. I added a bit of Chicken Scratch Gingham to bring in a mix of patterns.
Next up I used the stamps, dies, and pre-printed sheets from the Color Pop Butterflies mini kit. LOVE these! I started off by stamping my Aqua Mist card base with images from the stamp set. I added Ombre Stripes patterned paper across the bottom.
I used the Tag Sale: Quilted die again and cut Sheer Basics Vellum branches using the Branching Out die.
Then came the color! I added die cut butterflies and flowers from the pre-printed sheets, a small vellum butterfly, stamped with an image from the stamp set, and my sentiment, also from the mini kit.
Just the sweetest grouping of goodies ever! You'll love it :).
