Today's project uses more new products from Papertrey Ink called the Hoopla Stitching Collection...and I'm smitten :). Erin Lincoln has come up with several patterns to help you create fun Hoop Art.
For my hoop, I started with the darling Tiny Stitched Alphabet dies. I wanted "Faith" to be my keyword and focus, so I stitched each letter onto die cut Hoopla Stitched Banners cut from Vintage Cream felt.
I also used the new Hoopla Stitched Rainbow dies and cut my rainbow and clouds from Vintage Cream felt, stitching each piece with thread in the same colors I used on my alphabet.
I framed in my stitched pieces using the new Hoopla Stitched Scallops die and Harvest Gold felt.
Die cut flowers from the Bloomin' Cute die collection were used to embellish my scallops and were cut using Sweet Blush and Spring Moss felt.
I then added a hand stamped Tremendous Tag, stamped using the new Inspired: Faith set. Once everything was in place, I added a light coating of Wedding Pink Glimmer Mist to age my hoop art a bit and add a soft shimmer.
I'm officially hooked and can't wait to try another one of these....have you seen the darling stitched cupcake? Love it as well :).
Enjoy!
Melis
A very beautiful take on the embroidery hoop. Love the pearls and pom pom ribbon and your color choices. Do you stitch the pieces on the muslin or are they stitched then glued?

Such pretty soft colors. I love how you added a lot of color using only the thread. And the addition of the ball fringe was brilliant. Loved your hoop.
