It's me again....back with more project using beautiful new Papertrey Ink products. I can't believe we're talking about summer, yet at the same time, my summer is completely packed and full of camps, reunions, 4H, etc.... so it must be getting close :).
I am so smitten with the new Simple Seashells stamps and dies...they are gorgeous and full of possibilities. I've used one of those lovely little shells on my first project here, die cutting it from watercolor cardstock and stamping in Fine Linen, Spring Rain, and the new Americana ink (I stamped this color "off" once to give it a lighter shade). I then used my water brush and added just a touch of blending.
The new Sand Swatch stamp set was used at the bottom of my focal point, which is a die from the new Make it Market Kit: Don't Forget to Write. The sand is stamped in Soft Stone ink with the corners of my die cut stamped in Spring Moss.
I then used Erin's new Colorful Words stamp set to create my sentiment, stamping in Fine Linen and Americana and using a soft tan watercolor pencil to color in my word.
Next up I used a handful of new products, beginning with thew Sun & Surf Stencil collection. I used Mister Huey Color Mists to create my sunshine and waves. The stencils were placed over white cardstock and after the color mists had dried, I sponged on color using Hawaiian Shores, Berry Sorbet, Mint Julep, and Bright Buttercup ink.
I then stamped waves from the new What the Doodle: Waves stamp set using watermark ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. This was done across the bottom and top of my card. I die cut vellum using a What the Doodle: Waves die and heat embossed it using white embossing powder as well, layering it over my card.
My Keep Swimming whale was die cut from light blue paper, embossed in white embossing powder, and colored with my Copics. I used a sentiment from the Keep Swimming set and stamped it in the center of my stenciled sunshine using Berry Sorbet ink.
Lastly, I used the new Dress Up Dolls: Summer Fun stamps and dies on this little mini card. The Tag Sale: Quilted die was used as my background, stenciling waves at the bottom by using the Sun & Surf Stencils, and then stamping waves using the What the Doodle: Waves stamp set.
I used a sentiment from the Keep Swimming stamp set, stamping it in Hibiscus Burst.
My tiny swimsuits were stamped in Green Parakeet, Hibiscus Burst, and Hawaiian Shores, adding color with my Copics.
