Hey there! It's the most awesome time of the month around here, I'd say! Welcome to the Papertrey Ink September release! Today I get to introduce you to the new Splits: Merry & Bright stamp set and die. It's playful and fun and very versatile for the holidays.
This first card uses the Splits: Merry & Bright die to frame in my sentiment and is stamped with watermark ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I then used a Double Ended Banners die and stamped my sentiment across that using Stormy Sea ink. Across the top of my card you'll notice the lovely, new Holiday Greens Borders stamp set, which I also heat embossed in white and then added color with my Zig watercolor makers.
I used the Fancy Flakes dies to create layering, and stamped a few berries from the Stitched Sentiments set, using Pale Peony ink., In the background, I used Stormy Sea + White Basics paper....a favorite of mine for the holidays. This card measures 5 1/2" x 3 3/4".
Next, I used the Splits: Merry & Bright die once again, die cutting it from Kraft cardstock and stamping my image in Autumn Rose. I then used the new Holiday Swoosh stamp set to form my sentiment, stamping it in Ocean Tides.
I used the Rustic Wreath die and embellished it with the new Holiday Greens stamp set and dies....oh, how I love this set :). I stamped in Ocean Tides, Scarlet Jewel, Ripe Avocado, Simply Chartreuse, and Cocoa Bean.
I love the tiny snowflakes in the Splits: Merry & Bright stamp set and used them in the background, stamping them in Classic Kraft. The second portion of my Holiday Swoosh sentiment is stamped in Autumn Rose. This card measures 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" .
This last little card was so much fun to create...I love these colors for the holidays. I stamped in Raspberry Fizz, Limeade Ice, Aqua Mist, and Pale Peony. I stamped a portion of the Splits: Merry & Bright frame around the edges of my card to create a border.
I then heat embossed my sentiment on a strip of Spring Woods patterned paper. I pulled out my Holiday Button Bits die and Limeade Ice Bitty Dot paper, and created my embellishment.
The tiny candy cane and holly are from another new set you'll hear much more about soon :). Across the bottom of my card I used Pale Peony + White Basics paper and the Scallop Border die. This card measures 5 1/2" x 3 1/2".
