Sigh....I just love the products included in today's Papertrey Ink group post. Creating with them has been such a treat. My first card uses the new What the Doodle: Ornament stamp set and dies. I love the classic, timeless color combination of silver, gold, and white for the holidays and created this card centered around those colors.
I die cut my What the Doodle: Ornaments from Shimmer Gold and Silver cardstock, stamping my images with watermark ink, and then heat embossing with gold and silver powder. I then layered these images over the solid ornament, die cut using glitter cardstock.
I used the new Holiday Greens stamps and dies and layered them with my ornaments. The centers of my ornaments are embellished with snowflakes from the Monthly Moments: December die.
I stamped my sentiment on a die cut Tag Sale #9, using the new Fancy Pants: Holiday, stamped in Soft Stone and Fine Linen.
I love using the bright and rich jewel tones of the holidays as inspiration for my cards and used a few of those colors on this next card, showcasing the new Vintage Ornaments II stamps and die.
I stamped in Lovely Lady, Mint Julep, Vintage Jadeite, Raspberry Fizz, and Hawaiian Shores, adding heat embossing/powder on the detailed layers. I added a bottom layer of glitter cardstock underneath each stamped ornament.
Once again the Holiday Greens stamp set was the perfect accent to use on this card, stamping my greens in Mint Julep, Aqua Mist, and Vintage Jadeite, with the berries and stems stamped in Raspberry Fizz an Spring Moss. The tiny holly accent on the center ornament is from the new, A Thrill of Hope stamp set. The tops of my ornaments and my sentiment were stamped using Saffron Spice, with the sentiment coming from the new Keep it Simple: Happy Holidays stamp set.
Lastly, this little handcrafted ornament was created using the new Stitched Woven Heart die. It's so sweet and fun to customize and embellish. I cut mine from paper and stitched the top closed, although leaving it open is a really fun option with this die as well.
I embellished the front with Ocean Tides felt holly leaves, cut using the Seasonal Stitching: Holly die. I used Sweet Blush buttons as my berries, and added a tag stamped with an image from the Holiday Greens Borders stamp set.
I used the Christmas Critters stamp set for my holly and berries and tiny candy cane.
I can't wait to sit and create more of these darling little hearts....they're perfect for gift tags, ornaments, or even pockets for small gifts this Christmas.
Thanks for visiting!
Melis

Omg Melis! You know I new this was your card before I even saw your name on the papertrey ink blog, I swear. All so beautiful but I have to tell you the first card is my fav. That's all the colors on my Christmas tree, I just love that color combo. Every ornament I own is one of those three colors, I love that old vintage feel. When the lights are on they bounce off the silver and gold making the tree even more glimmery. Thanks for sharing and always inspiring.

The cards are reminiscent of vintage ornaments that my parents had when I was growing up. Your cards are so elegant and you always put such a special touch on all your projects. Beautiful inspiration!

Holy Moly Melissa!! The gold and silver ornaments are INCREDIBLE! I can't take my eyes of that card! So many of your cards just draw you in. You look at it one time and see something and look another time and see something else. So much eye candy! Love. Love. Love them. :)
