Hello there! I hope you're having a great Monday so far :). They can certainly be messy sometimes, can't they? I always love the fresh beginning to a new week. I'm up on the Papertrey Ink blog today with a new Make it Monday tutorial. I've created a video that shows you another fun way of using die-cuts. I've created stencils using a variety of dies and have a few cards to share with you using this technique.
On my first card, I've used a large Fancy Flake die. In my tutorial, I referred to my die as a Damask Snowflake die, which would also work, but I've used the Fancy Flake dies on my card :).
You can see the gentle shape of the snowflake in the background here, sponged on in Aqua Mist and Spring Rain. I then topped my card with In the Meadow die cuts and accented with the Christmas Faith and What the Doodle: Snowflakes stamp sets.
I used the Spider Web Trio dies on this fun little Halloween card. I used Amethyst Allure, Lavender Moon, and Green Parakeet to stencil on my web.
I then accented with the Pumpkin Patch and Mr. Bones stamp sets.
I added water over my stencils on this card to show how the puddles of water add to the soft, ethereal look in the background.
And on this card I shared on my Papertrey Ink release post, you can see that I've used the same technique in the background, using the Fancy Flourishes die, and then stamping with the coordinating stamp over the stencil....just one more thing you could do when using your die-cut stencil shapes.
Enjoy and I hope you'll give this technique a try!

LOVE your technique video. Melis, what is the card dimensions of your card? I notice you use it pretty often. It is so visually pleasing.
Thanks, Denise
