Today's Papertrey Ink group post is a fun one....all about getting you set up creating your holiday cards and tags in a hurry. Each Papertrey Ink designer has ideas for you using lots of new products that will be available for purchase in just a few short days...October 15th! My card is a quick and easy one. I love adding character very simply by incorporating a fun, scalloped or decorative edge to my cards. You can use the Noted: Scalloped A2 Die collection, or many of the Cover Plate: Frame dies would be fun too, or I've used the scalloped frame from the Make it Market Kit: Shakers + Sprinkles on my card. Lots of options to try.
I love Heather Nichol's new Jingle All the Way stamp set and coordinating dies. This fun set of products incorporates her handwriting and I just love how it looks on my homespun, holiday card. I die cut my "jingle" from shimmer cardstock and adhered it to the top of my block of white cardstock. I then stamped the second portion of my sentiment a few inches below, using Stormy Sea ink.
This left space for a simple stamped embellishment, the holly berry and leaves from the Enclosed: Bell Mini stamp set. Think about all of the fun options though for you to plug into that empty space....gingerbread men, a snowflake, candy cane, etc. The swirl below my sentiment comes from the Sunflower Bouquet stamp set. The gingham paper and tiny bell are just extras, but you could certainly leave them out in order to achieve a super, quick and easy card.
My tag can be taken to a simpler level, or dressed up a bit as shown to take it a step up. I've used the Enclosed: Bell die to create a shaped tag cutting my tag from patterned paper and then Sheer Basics Vellum. The outside of the bell is cut from Silver Shimmer cardstock.
I die cut my "Merry" from silver glitter cardstock, and embossed "Christmas" on the vellum using white embossing powder. Both are from the Jingle All the Way stamp set and dies. I then added a few Simply Chartreuse felt holly leaves, cut using the Holly Jolly die set, added enamel dots, and a stamped candy cane (from a new set you'll hear about soon).
Lastly, I added a pink, glittered jingle bell and ribbon at the top, and attached it to a pretty package. Easy, fun, creative, and a lovely way to present a gift this Christmas.
The other designers have lots waiting for you on their blogs too. Thanks for visiting!

Love that jingle all the way card with the holly. I know a certain little grand blessing who would love to see that darling bell with her name on it. Beautiful work, Melissa.

Beautiful Melis! I mean a pink glitter jingle bell, that just says it all, pretty and feminine. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
