Hey there! It's release day at Papertrey Ink and I've got a few projects to share with you before the shopping begins. All of these new items and many more will be available tonight, 10PM EST HERE at Papertrey Ink.
I love creating for Mother's Day, since I am convinced that I have the sweetest angel-mother on earth :). I created two tags in this theme, both using the lovely, new Grand Botanicals die collection and the new Family Ties stamp set.
I used the Monthly Moments: Journal Card 6 die to create my tag. I cut my top floral layer (from Grand Botanicals) using Lovely Lady cardstock. I then sponged on ink in Hibiscus Burst and Autumn Rose to create shading. Summer Sunrise was sponged on in the center.
My sentiment from the Family Ties stamp set was stamped in Pale Peony and Autumn Rose, with the second half stamped in Stormy Sea. I also used stamps from the Color Pop: Florals kit. At the bottom of my tag I used the Filigree Border die to create a decorative edge.
Along with the Grand Botanicals die collection, I also used die cuts from the new Gathered Garden collection. I didn't stamp on them at all, just left them bare so that the lovely die cuts in the background could stand out.
I added a few stamps from the Gathered garden stamp set in the background, and added the bow and wrapped string images and dies to tie my bundle of flowers together. The Heart Borders die was used at the bottom of my tag. I simply turned it upside down and it gave me the perfect tiny scallops to show from underneath the tag.
On my next card I used the new Inspired: God for my sentiment and the new Medallion Trio stamp set and dies in the background...these are so beautiful.
I stamped my large medallion on watercolor cardstock using watermark ink and then heat embossed the image using white powder. I then stamped in Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, and Autumn Rose (working inward) and spritzed the image with water. A bit of color here and there was added using my Zig Watercolor markers. After my image was dry I dropped a few droplets of Hibiscus Burst ink mixed with water.
I die cut my Inspired: God image from glitter cardstock and then stamped the second portion of my sentiment on a die cut banner using Pale Peony ink. These are nestled over and under a small Medallion Trio die cut from vellum.
Lastly, I used the new Splits: Hello There stamp set and die on this card, stamping the image on watercolor cardstock and heat embossing it using white powder once again. I added color using my Zig watercolor markers.
A Lilac Grace Double Ended Banner was cut and I heat embossed a sentiment from the new Keep it Simple: Retirement set on the center. In the background I used the fun Boho Rounds stamp set, stamping in Lilac Grace, Pale Peony, Lovely Lady, and Hibiscus Burst ink. A tiny strip of Lovely Lady + White Basics paper was used as well as another Medallion Trio die cut in the background.
The Papertrey Ink team will have more for you using new products throughout the month, so keep checking in! There's plenty more to see today on the blogs listed for you below.

You know, Melissa, I wasn't planning to order any of the floral stamp sets, or the floral dies, until I saw your blog post today. Those first two tags are to die for! Sent me over the edge. Thanks! ;)
