papertrey ink feature: cutaway tags - spring...

Good morning!  It's feeling so fresh and Spring-y around here and the sweet, new Papertrey Ink Cutaway Tags:  Spring, are the perfect way to welcome in the warm sun, fresh flowers, and all of the goodness that comes with this time of year.

It was definitely love at first sight with the Cutaway Tags:  Spring die and coordinating stamp set...so intricate, detailed, and darling.  Tags and cards come together so effortlessly and they look like you've spent hours on them :).

I love the sentiments that fit so perfectly across the center of each tag.  For this set of 3 tags, instead of using the coordinating stamp set to add color to my flowers and such, I used my Zig Clean Color Markers and a bit of water to spread and blend the colors.  

I then added my heat embossed border around each tag and finished with some droplets of DecoArt White Shimmer Mister.

These tags take center stage on cards as well and it's so much fun to mix up the colors to create something new and fresh each time.  

I used Lavender Moon, Lilac Grace, Lovely Lady, and Harvest Gold on my flowers....purples always remind me of springtime.  I added a few flourishes from the Fancy Flourishes stamp set.

Ad instead of stamping my sentiment directly on the tag, I used the banner from the Birthday Clippings:  Birthday Details die.  It fits perfectly across the center of the tag.

This card might just be my favorite :)....I just got to spend a couple of days with my sweet mom, and it was one of the best visits ever.  She is my best friend and always knows just what to say, knows when I need a hug, when I need a listening ear, when I need a trip to the craft store, etc.  So, this card is all about here :).

Instead of used the Cutaway Tags:  Spring die, I just used the stamp set to create a little flower garden at the bottom of my Basic Bookmark 3.

I then used the new Fun Frames die to create a frame for my spring scene.

My sentiment was stamped on a banner cut using the Banner Style die and my sunshine was cut using the Latin Motifs die.
