I used the Cart Basics die collection to create my fun Thank You gift.  I love that this kit creates interactive, moveable, 3-dimensional paper-crafts and gifts.  I used paper from the kit to create my gift box and then added a stamped and die cut cart to the front.

The cart die, cuts a slit in the cart where you can slip in a pull out tag that attaches to the base of whatever you choose to fill your cart with...tulips, apples, pumpkins, a flower bouquet, etc.

I added a tag at the top of my basket, attaching it to a die cut handle, created with a die found in this kit as well.

Since I am always happy to create with pumpkins, I used the pre-printed paper from this kit, selecting the pumpkins to fill my cart with.  Isn't it fun that they come in cream and orange?  The pre-printed paper makes creating so quick and easy.  

I created a couple of gift bags and coordinating tags using these products, focusing on the stencils a bit by sponging on yellow ink onto my white gift bags using the striped stencil.  I love how these turned out :).

 

And lastly, I created a birthday card using a mix of stamps and coordinating dies along with pre-printed paper from this kit.

The flowers come to life with each layer you add and I can't wait to try out new color combinations for my flower cart.

Once again I tucked in a stamp sentiment that can be pulled right out of the cart...creating some fun interaction and movement for the birthday girl's special day.

sun & moon...

It's a beautiful new week...our last week of school here and then it's summertime :).  There is no doubt this will be our busiest summer yet, so I'm buckling in and hanging on tight!  I have a couple more cards for you today, created for Papertrey Ink My first card uses the new Sun & Moon stamp set.  It's truly such a beauty!

I immediately envisioned a sunflower after pulling out this lovely set, so I transformed my stamps and dies and created a sunflower of sorts, attached to a seed packet stamped image from the Garden Variety II stamp set.  After heat embossing my sunflower images in white, I sponged on ink to create different shades of gold, tan, and brown.

I added a bit of background stamping using the Background Basics:  Woodgrain set, and a flower-filled watering can, also from the Garden Variety stamp set.

My last card uses the new Especially You stamp set.  It is drop-dead gorgeous and I love creating with it!  I combined it with the Ivy & Bloom die, using snippets of it to create movement and touches of delicate detailing.

I watercolored a few of my blooms using my Zig watercolor markers, and added my sentiment.  

This is just one of those sets that speaks on its own...it doesn't require much effort to create beautiful things with it.

PTI May Tips & Tricks...

Happy Friday!  Sure hope your weekend plans involve a bit of crafting :).  I've pulled out a few of my favorite Papertrey Ink dies today and have a couple of cards ready for you showing a fun and unique way to put your supplies to use.

I've used the Made with Love Tag Dies and have selected a smaller die to punch a hole right through, revealing a window of sorts where you can tuck stamped images, a button, a felt embellishment, sequins, or many other things.

For my first card I've used a large heart die from the Hello There die collection to create my window...hearts are my favorite shape and always seem to add a touch of warmth and love.  I then stamped my sentiment using the Fancy Pants Sentiments stamp set and added tiny flowers from the new Ivy & Bloom stamp set.

Here are a few photos showing each step.  I began by die cutting my two tag layers.  I always love adding patterns in somewhere, so this two-step tag is perfect for that.  With my solid tag layer on the top, I am left with a bare surface waiting for my sentiment, and the fun pattern can be seen peeking out from underneath.

I then placed the heart die over the top of the top tag layer, ran it through my machine, and this is what resulted.

Next I die cut a second heart from coordinating patterned paper.  I added dimensional adhesive to the backside of my top tag layer (after stamping my sentiment) and then assembled my tag.

You can repeat this same process using so many wonderful Papertrey Ink dies.  I love coming up with different combinations using this technique.

This next card uses more of the Made with Love tag dies, and instead of using a shaped die, I selected a smaller frame die that could nestle right in the center of the tag.  The Fun Frames dies are perfect for this and one of my most favorite die collections.  I've used the larger Fun Frame behind my tag with the smaller in the center.

I used a sentiment from the Pen & Ink stamp set in the center of my window and embellished with stamped and die cut flowers from the Sweet Life set.

Across the bottom of my card I used tiny flowers and a garden tool from the Garden Variety stamp set...a favorite of mine too!

I hope you'll dig out your well-loved dies and look at them a little differently now!  There are lots of creative and unique ideas just waiting to be explored.

PTI - heart & sole...

Hello again!  Boy do I have the cutest, most playful and fun stamp set to share with you today!  The new Heart & Sole stamp set from Papertrey Ink is now available and many of the design team members are sharing projects with you today using this darling set.

I always start feeling extra patriotic this time of year and once I saw the "My Hero Wears Boots" sentiment knew I wanted to create a card in support of our military :).  This set has so many possibilities just waiting to be explored.

I've got all of the supplies listed below and instructions on how I created my card for you on Nichole's blog. I combined a few different stamp sets with the Heart & Sole set including the est. 1776, Big Ticket Additions, and Monthly Moments:  Travel Plans sets.

I love finishing the inside of my cards...gives me more opportunity to use my favorites sets, so I carried the theme of this card into the inside today.  Can't wait to make some Father's Day cards next!

PTI - out of this world mini kit plus...

Morning!  Today's Papertrey Ink post is a fun and very unique one for me :)....meaning, I'm creating out of my comfort zone, but oh, how I love it!  Today's first card uses the darling, new Out of This World mini kit.  It's truly just so playful and creative.

You can find out how I created this card by checking out Nichole Heady's blog.  I've used the fun stencils included in the mini kit to create my background and then used a few of the darling stamps and dies that create cards that are out of this world!

I especially love the sentiments, fonts, and ability to die cut a portion of your sentiment with contents included in this kit.  You'll love it, just as I do!

My next card use the sweet, new Ivy & Bloom stamp set and coordinating dies.  This is just the thing for you floral lovers like myself :).  The three-step flowers are truly irresistible.  I love seeing them come to life.

I also love the font used in this set and the intricate dies that coordinate perfectly, whether you choose to stamp your coordinating images on the die cuts, or leave them bare...they are beautiful.

PTI - ways to say: sympathy...

Hello there!  Today I get to share with you a card I created using new products from Papertrey Ink.  I've used a sentiment from the new ways to Say:  Sympathy stamp set.  

 

The size of the sentients included in this set are the perfect size to stamp on die cut Double Ended Banners, such as I've done here.  I've also used the lovely, new Especially You stamp set to create my background, stamping my florals in combinations of Aqua Mist, Limeade Ice, Spring Moss, and Harvest Gold.

I then added vellum down the left side and a decorative border, cut using the Leafy Vine Border Die.  Lastly, I added some die cut and stamped flowers from the Especially You stamp set to finish.

introducing year of psalms: may and mix & mat: herringbone

Good morning and Happy Mother's Day, friends!  It's a beautiful Sunday here and I am thankful as can be for this wonderful day and the one sweet girl that calls me "mama" AND for the best mom on earth...she is truly an angel and such an example of love.  Today I am introducing the new Year of Psalms:  May and Mix & Mat:  Herringbone dies from Papertrey Ink.  These new products will be available on May 15th, 10PM EST.

I stamped my sentiment on a die cut Monthly Moments:  Journal Card 6 tag that I cut from Smokey Shadow ink and heat embossed in white powder.  I then smudged white ink over my tag, creating a chalkboard feel.  I used Stormy Sea to stamp the leaf image in the upper corners of my tag.

The pretty blooms are from the new Ivy & Bloom stamp set and the photo corner die cuts are from the new Mix & Mat:  Herringbone die collection.

I've used the new Mix & Mat:  Herringbone dies on my next card, cutting the lovely intricate herringbone and frame from Pale Peony cardstock.  

The details in this collection are amazing....love these dies.  I then used the new Ivy & Bloom stamp set and dies for my florals, framing in my sentiment.

The sentiment is from the new Keep it Simple:  Thank You II stamp set...such a great staple in your craft stash!

Lastly, one more with the Year of Psalms:  May stamp set.  This time I used the Mix & Mat:  Herringbone die as a stencil behind my stamped sentiment.

And, I also used the Herringbone die collection to frame in my sentiment.  It was heat embossed before I added my stenciling.  

The Mix & Mat:  Herringbone dies provide the perfect place to anchor your sentiments, especially these larger sentiments in the Year of Psalms series.

reverse confetti may blog hop...

Good morning!  Welcome to the May Reverse Confetti blog hop!  Today's the day to start shopping for delightful, new Reverse Confetti treats :).  A few favorites of mine were used on my card today, starting with the new Simply Sentiments stamp set.  The most perfect combination of sentiments all in one set!

I've also used the new Round Top Tag Confetti Cuts....love the little peek-a-boo window that is a possibility with this set of dies.  Also, the new Pattern Play paper pack...gotta love it!  

And lastly, a die cut the Hello & Thanks Label Confetti Cuts was used across the bottom.  I always seem to gravitate to my beloved Blooms 'N Buds stamp set as well :).

countdown to confetti - one day at a time...

Hello!  Today's card for the Reverse Confetti May release was created using the sweet, new, One Day at a Time stamp set.  I can't begin to tell you just how much I love this set and the meaning behind it...it truly warms my heart.  What makes it even more special is that the proceeds from the ONE DAY AT A TIME set will be donated to THE PINK FUND. The Pink Fund provides 90 day non-medical cost-of-living expenses to breast cancer patients in active treatment for breast cancer, so they can focus on healing, raising their families, and returning to the workplace.

I used one of the sentiments from the One Day at a Time stamp set to create a background on my card, stamping it in Buttercup ink.  I then used the new Hello & Thanks Label Confetti Cut to die cut the center from my background.  I added a bit of heat embossing and watercoloring next, highlighting the sentiment in the center of my window.

Lastly, I added a few flowers from the Blooms 'N Buds stamp set.

countdown to confetti - rollin' & take flight...

Hello there!  Welcome to another fun day of Reverse Confetti new releases!  Today I am sharing a couple of darling stamp sets with you, the Rollin' and Take Flight sets.

The bicycle is from the Rollin' stamp set and I attached my stamped and die cut image to a tag cut using the new Round Top Tag Confetti Cut.  I then added a few clouds and heart balloons, all from the Take Flight stamp set.

My sentiment across the bottom is from the 'Rollin stamp set and is heat embossed in white powder on vellum.  There are so many sweet images waiting to be used in both of these sets...I need to get to work using them :).

throwback thursday - rosie posie...

Good morning, friends!  Today we're tossing it back to the most beautiful floral stamp set from Papertrey Ink, Rosie Posie.  It was truly love at first sight for me with this set :).  And then of course when the Rosie Posie Step 2 stamp set came out, I loved it even more.  The second step stamps really bring these images to life and they are so much fun to try with different color combinations.

I was channeling my inner Cath Kidston for my card :)....using lots of fresh pinks, berry reds, yellows, and aquas.  I layered my flowers over a die cut Made With Love Tag 2 die, stamped with the Garden Variety II stamp set, another favorite of mine. 

My sentiment and tiny stamped bow come from the Gathered Garden stamp set.  Rosie Posie is a set I don't put away...it is loved so much around here, that I just keep it out so it's always handy :).

ellen hutson mix it up challenge...

Hello friends!  Today I get to mix it up with Ellen Hutson and Reverse Confetti!  I've used the gorgeous Essentials by Ellen Mondo Peony Clear Stamps and coordinating dies on my card, using Prima Confections to watercolor my blooms.

I also heat embossed one of my peonies on vellum, coloring the backside with a Copic marker to create a soft shade of pink before adhering it over my watercolored peony.

I used Reverse Confetti's You're So stamp set across the bottom for my sentiment....love all of the sweet possibilities with this set.
