Good morning and Happy Autumn! I'm so happy to be here with you for Papertrey Ink's Tips & Tricks. Today we are celebrating this beautiful time of year with a fun fall project using corrugated cardstock and our pumpkin stamps and dies.
I love the texture and personality that corrugated cardstock lends to any project and was curious to try my hand at stamping on it to see what would happen. As can be expected, I didn't achieve a flawless, solid image, but love what I did achieve...a rustic, homespun, chippy look :).
I didn't just stop with pumpkins when it came to die cutting from corrugated cardstock, the vines used on my tags all use this wonderful medium. They were cut using the Fancy Foliage dies and look so beautiful!
I tried different colors of corrugated cardstock as well, noticing that each took on its own personality. I used a variety of different tag dies to create a trio of autumn tags. These will look so pretty on the front of a package. I also layered my tags with other dies and mediums including the Enclosed: Leaf die, using patterned paper and tulle.
Mixing and matching different stamp sets to achieve a desired look is another favorite of mine, so on my tags I used the vines from the Autumn Pumpkins stamp set, adding in berries and leaves from the Gathered Garden stamp set.
I needed the perfect sentiments and fonts for my tags and settled on the beautiful Sunflower Harvest stamp set...the perfect size for tags big and small. The tiny tag from the Wrap It Up die collection fits sentiments from this delightful stamp set, perfectly!
I encourage you to try a variety of different stamp sets and dies with corrugated cardstock. The steps are simple. For starters, I simply stamped my pumpkin image on my corrugated cardstock using watermark ink.
I then heat embossed each with white embossing powder and next, cut each image out using the coordinating die.
Adding color is completely optional, but I love the look of some soft sponging using Melon Berry ink and Copics in light shades of green and beige. That's it! So simple, but certainly packs a creative punch, don't you think?
All of the Papertrey Ink supplies I've used on these projects are listed for you below. Thank you so much for your visit! Enjoy a beautiful weekend.

What a GREAT idea. And you could always make your own corrugated cardstock I'm guessing, with a crimper. Can't wait to try this idea.

You've inspired me to do something with my corrugated card stock that's gone unused for years! I didn't die cut it, though I'll try that later, but I sponged it with some ink and made a card that I like a lot. Thanks for your beautiful post and inspiration!
