Morning! Welcome to the first day of Papertrey Ink's November Release! Today I am sharing a few new products with you, specifically the Year of Psalms: November stamp set and the Mix & Mat: Plaid die collection.
Here's a peek at how I started my first card. You'll notice that I used the Mix & Mat: Plaid die collection to create my frame. I then added color to my plaid center by using a variety of Copic Markers to create a subtle background that I wanted to show from underneath my sentiment stamped on vellum.
I also stamped the edges of my Mix & Mat: Plaid frame using the new Background Basics: Birch stamp set and Pale Peony ink. I then stamped my Year of Psalms: November on a block of vellum, cut to fit in the center of my frame, heat embossing it using white embossing powder. I used the Holiday Greens Borders across the top of my card, layering it over the vellum quote.
I added a few more florals at the top and bottom of my card, using a new stamp set you'll be hearing much more about soon, called Flower Power.
I used the Mix & Mat: Plaid dies in a different way on this next card, cutting the center out of my frame using a die from the Make it Market Kit: Wonderland. The oval die in this kit created just the right size window for my Year of Psalms: November stamp to show through perfectly.
Before cutting out the window though, I stamped my frame using the Background Basics: Birch stamp set in watermark ink and then heat embossed it using white embossing powder. I love the wintery, woodsy feel it created.
I stamped my Psalm on my white cardstock base using watermark ink and then heat embossed it using gold embossing powder. After my frame was attached to my card front, I added a few stamped and die cut images from the Make it Market Kit: Wonderland.
On my last card, I stamped my Mix & Mat: Plaid background using the Year of Psalms: November stamp and Saffron Spice ink. I love the subtle pattern it creates. I also dipped the edges of my frame in watermark ink and then coated the edges with white embossing powder. After heating up the powder, it created a frosty appearance to my birch branches.
I then die cut a block of Saffron Spice cardstock using the center of the Mix & Mat: Plaid die and layered it over a block of white cardstock, centered on my card.
I added a sentiment from the new Little Lift Me Ups stamp set, stamping it in Autumn Rose ink on a die cut Tremendous Tag. I embellished with florals from the new Flower Power stamp set along with a few leaves from the Fall Foliage die collection.
All of these new products and more will be available on November 15ht 10PM EST at Papertrey Ink.
There's lots more to see on Nichole's blog. Thanks for your visit!
