Good morning! Just when you thought Papertrey Ink had thought of it all, Dawn McVey designed something else for us to fall in love with. Her new dies, called Window Works, are so much fun and are filled with endless possibilities!
I used an assortment of tag dies from Papertrey Ink to create a few holiday tags, using the Window Works dies to create focal points where I could stamp my sentiments. I selected Bitty Big Pure Poppy, Pale Peony, and Aqua Mist paper to form my color scheme for my tags, adding in a variety of stamps to complete them.
I think that's what I love most about the Window Works dies, the ability to combine them with older stamp sets and products and make everything new again.
My sentiments come from the O Holy Night, and Season's Greetings stamp sets and are stamped in Olive Twist ink.
The tiny floral are from the Christmas Faith stamp set and are stamped in Ocean Tides, Saffron Spice, Pure Poppy, Simply Chartreuse, and Aqua Mist. These fun little tags came together in a snap!
The new Flower Power stamp set was used on my next card, along with another die from the Window Works collection. I embraced my inner Pioneer Woman and went with bold colors and a bit of plaid :). I just picked up her new cookbook and it was all because of the gorgeous cover!
I used Pure Poppy cardstock as my base and die cut my window from the front. I then attached a block of white cardstock inside the card and stamped my sentiment using Stormy Sea ink. Across the top of my card I used Bitty Big Pure Poppy paper.
Next came building my flower bouquet and vase. The coordinating dies in this collection really bring these flowers to life. I used Aqua Mist, Mint Julep, Pure Poppy, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Winter Wisteria, Lilac Grace, Spring Moss, Orange Zest, and Stormy Sea ink. Inside the card I added one more flower to tie the inside to the outside. Such a playful, fun, floral stamp set!
