Good morning! It's my turn for Papertrey Ink's Transformation Tuesday, which is giving an older card a transformation of sorts. This can occur in lots of different ways, from remaking a card you didn't quite love into something you are happy with, to what I've done today...going from soft and pastel, to more bold, dark, and full of contrast. This was a fun challenge.
I created my first card a month or so ago, and as usual, gravitated towards the softer side of the color palette. I used the Especially for You stamp set and stamped my florals on watercolor cardstock using watermark ink and then heat embossed it using white embossing powder. I then used my Zig Clean Color Markers to add color.
Across the top, I used the Penned Elegance stamp set and coordinating dies and a sentiment from the Especially for You stamp set, stamped on a die cut Wine Bottle II Tag. Peeking out from below the sentiment is die cut vellum using the Top the Point Edgers die.
On my transformed card, I started with Ocean Tides cardstock and once again stamped my flowers using watermark ink and heat embossed those images using white embossing powder. I sponged on a bit of Aqua Mist, Spring Moss, and Hawaiian Shores ink to add just a bit of color to my large floral.
I added a few embossing enamel splatters and sequins to embellish.
And, across the top, I used the very same elements, just swapping out the Bitty Big Sweet Blush paper for Bitty Big Soft Stone. This time I used the To the Point Edgers II die for my vellum layer.
I so enjoyed this challenge and hope you'll give it a try too. This is a sure-fire way to jump start your mojo and use your own creations as your source of inspiration.
Happy Tuesday!
