Good morning! I have a tutorial on the Papertrey Ink blog today, sharing my latest, favorite technique/effect with you...creating embossing enamel splatters :). Kind of a mouthful, isn't it?
I used Shabby Green Embossing Enamel on both of my cards today...on this first card, I went quite light with my splatters. I used Ocean Tides cardstock to create my tag and after stamping my sentiment from You Deserve Flowers, I added my embossing enamel splatters. I love how they add just the tiniest bit of texture and personality.
I also used the new Stitching Garden and Stitch in Time Borders stamp and die sets, with the Shape Shifters: Oval 1 die used in the background. I so love all of the new sets just released this month!
On this card, I went a bit heavier with my splatters...they blend with the white embossed butterfly on the Scalloped Tag.
The Shabby Green Embossing Enamel has two different colors of enamel, white and gold. So, It's fun to get splatters of both here and there.
I used the new A Bit More Butterfly Blooms and a sentiment from the new Ink it In stamp sets on my tag.
And, of course I needed a few florals on this fun, organic card, so I mixed in blossoms from the 2018 Anniversary Set: Mixed Bouquet and Seasonal Borders: Spring. In the background, I used the Stencil Basics: Hexagon to create my Lilac Grace honeycomb look.
All of the supplies are linked for you below. I would love to see what you create using this fun effect!

I'm completely smitten with the second card & the first one is beautiful, too! Love that you've given me a reason to pull out my enamels that haven't been used in forever! Wonderful inspiration, Melissa!

Both cards are spectacular as always. But I was really glad to see the second one. Just this morning, I set aside the Hexagon stencils, thinking they were maybe a bit "too geometric" for Easter cards. Well, I just moved them right back to the Easter stack!!!
