The Greetery Day 2...

Welcome to Day 2 of The Greetery's May Release....I've LOVED joining Betsy and the other designers this month.

My first little creation uses the darling Cake Pops Collection, including the Cake Pops die, Cake Pops stand, Cake Pops Banner, and Cake Pops Sentiments stamp.

I had such a fun time creating this mini cake...it felt wonderful digging into my glitter, felt, and sprinkles to create layers of softness, shine and personality.

Think of all of the creative surprises you can tuck inside the Cake Pop Bubbles...candy of course, money, jewelry, buttons, trimmings, etc.

The cake stand is irresistible...the scallops!  True love, I say.

 

I've used lots of the Cake Pops elements on my card and love how fun and versatile all of these dies are.

I added in a flower from the Balloon Bouquet stamp set, and popped in the layered circles that resemble the top of a cake.  In the background I used the new Ticker Tape Background, which I just love.  After I stamped it using watermark ink, I added glitter embossing powder.  I love the shimmer!

 

The second part of my sentiment comes from the Balloon Bouquet stamp set.  Isn't it fun to see how all of these sets work together?

introducing you make my day, say it simply: wishing you...

Helloooo!  Welcome to the weekend and Day 2 of Papertrey Ink's August release.  My first card today uses the darling new, Glorious Globes:  August stamp set and dies, combined with the new You Make My Day stamp set.

The sweet, new Scallop Stackers Small die collection was used to create my card base (so in love with this) and I used the Background Basics:  Super Gingham stamp set in Autumn Rose across the top.

My sentiment across the bottom is from the You Make My Day stamp set, and is stamped on Saffron Spice cardstock in Honey Nut ink.  I used the new Shape Shifters:  Circle 3 die to create my focal point, using the Glorious Globes:  Autumn stamp set to add in my leaves and berries and tiny globe.

The new Say it Simply:  Wishing You a Lovely Birthday die was used on my next card.  It was cut from corrugated cardstock and I love the little bit of texture and dimension it adds.

Once again, I created my card base using the Scallop Stackers Small die and Sweet Blush cardstock.  I then added a layer of Bitty Big Spring Moss paper and seam binding before adding on my focal point.

The Noted Simply Stitched A2 die was used along with florals from the Botanical Bounty II stamp set (and dies).  I used Leaf Prints around the outer edge of my cardstock block and berries from the Glorious Globes:  August stamp set.  Lastly, I adhered my die cut sentiment and just love how bold it is.

simple to spectacular: the sweet life...

Morning!  I'm back today with a Simple to Spectacular post for Papertrey Ink.  This week a few of the PTI designers are creating with The Sweet Life stamp set, taking it from simple to intermediate to spectacular.  I had lots of fun with this gorgeous set!

My simple card uses The Sweet Life stamped directly onto a die cut using the Mix & Mat:  Plaid die, cut from Kraft cardstock.  I used Autumn Rose as my darkest layer, then Lovely Lady, finishing with Sweet Blush.  My leaves were stamped in Simply Chartreuse as the solid leaf layer and Ripe Avocado as the detailed layer.  I used a sentiment from Penned Elegance, stamping in Olive Twist, ant then used  Bitty Big Olive Twist in the background.

My intermediate card uses the very same elements, but I stamped and die cut my Sweet Life flowers and you'll notice that the ink changes quite a bit when stamping on white cardstock as compared to Kraft cardstock.  I stamped my Mix & Mat:  Plaid die with the Background Basics:  Birch stamp set, using Kraft ink.  And, I added a strip of Chicken Scratch Gingham paper across the center of my card, mixing plaids with polka dots :).

On my spectacular card, I added embossing powder around the outer edges of the frame, heat setting it in place.  I also added a few flourishes underneath the flowers using the Stitched Swirls stamp set.

transformation tuesday...

Morning!  I'm here with Transformation Tuesday and Papertrey Ink....such a fun concept!  Today, I've taken a card that uses florals to create a wreath, and transformed that wreath using streamers, stars, confetti, scripted words, balloons, etc.  

I had lots of fun creating this transformed card for you and hope you'll give it a try yourself.  I started with the Birthday Strings stamp set, which contains the fun, scripted, sentiments.  I curved my sentiments using my MISTI stamping tool, so that I could start forming the shape of a wreath.  

After I had those stamped, I used streamers from the Birthday Balloons stamp set as well as confetti, and tiny stars.  I love how you can build and layer using different colors of ink to create fullness and dimension.  I added in some larger stars from the Stars & Stripes stamp set, stamping in a softer color, so they'd blend into the background and not cover up my sentiments.

Lastly, I used the Birthday Balloons stamp set and the coordinating Birthday Balloons die to create a couple of larger elements that I could layer in order to create a bit of of height and dimension.  All that was left was some Bitty Big Mint Julep paper across the bottom, seam binding, and sequins.

sweet treats + big ice cream cone die + much more!...

Hello!  Welcome to Day 2 of Papertrey Ink's May release....you're in for a sweet treat today!  My first card uses the new Sweet Treats stamp set and coordinating dies.  

Building this triple scoop ice cream cone was so much fun :)...the images in this set allow you to add color, sprinkles, polka dots, etc.  I stamped my cone in Pale Peony with my ice cream scoops stamped in Aqua Mist and Tropical Teal, Harvest Gold and Summer Sunrise, and Lilac Grace with Winter Wisteria as the outline, and Autumn Rose for the sprinkles.

I tied a die cut Scalloped Tag around my Shape Shifters Circle 2 die cut, and stamped it was a sentiment from the Sweet Treats stamp set.  Love this new Shape Shifters die.  At the bottom of my card, I've used the new Bold Borders:  Shine die, adding a bit of ink blending to create depth.  I added in a bit of Bitty Big Lilac Grace to tie in with colors used on my ice cream cone.

The new Big Ice Cream Cone die was used on my next card....already in love with this :).  The new Bold Borders:  Shine die was used in the background.  It was die cut from Stamper's Select White cardstock and then I sponged on ink in Summer Sunrise and Berry Sorbet.

One of my ice cream scoops was cut from felt while the second was cut from Stamper's Select White cardstock.  I then used dots from the Sweet Treats stamp set, stamping them using watermark ink and then heat embossing them using white embossing powder.  I then sponged ink over the dots in Aqua Mist, Summer Sunrise, and Berry Sorbet.  I added a bit of water to allow the colors to blend.

My cone was cut from Kraft Cardstock.  I then used the new Hashtag Everything stamp set and dies to create my fun sentiments....another very fun stamp set that is perfectly trendy!

New Papertrey Ink Supplies Used:

countdown to confetti: day 1...

Did you know that it's Reverse Confetti's 5th Birthday?  Yep, and there are some seriously sweet new products coming your way this month!  My card today uses the new Hey, Sugar stamp set and Confetti Cuts.  I'm smitten with the tiny donuts, cake, etc.

I stamped my images using watermark ink and white embossing powder and then adding color using ink blending and a bit of Copic coloring.  They are layered over another new product this month, the Polka Dot Panel...so cute!

I used two sentiments on this card, one from the Hey, Sugar stamp set and the second from the new Birthday Wishes set.

simple to spectacular: pedal pusher...

Morning!  Today I'm sharing cards created for Papertrey Ink's Simple to Spectacular blog feature.  We are focusing on the Pedal Pusher stamp set, which is so much fun for springtime!  The above card is my "Simple" project.  You can see all of the same elements used throughout my cards, with one or two extra steps as well go. Each card uses the Noted:  Simply Stitched A2 panel, which provides such a nice space where you can build your Pedal Pusher scene.  I love the soft effect that the Sunburst Stencil collection adds, so you'll see the sun shining in the background on each card.

For all of my cards I began with a white card base, followed by Bitty Big paper in a coordinating color.  For my simple card, I used Sweet Blush paper, for the other two, I used Aqua Mist because of the additional colors brought in as I stepped up each card.  You can see on this card, I added in a fence from the new Fence Line:  Spring stamp set, with flowers stamped near the bottom.  

On my "Spectacular" card, I added in balloons and confetti.  The balloons are from the Simple Impressions stamp set and dies and the Confetti is from the Kindness Counts stamp set.  

I had such a fun time creating this card...the sentiments in Pedal Pusher are so unique and creative and cover lots of different occasions.

butterfly folk plus botanical bounty...

Morning everyone!  I have fallen in love with these next few products from Papertrey Ink that I'm sharing today....they make creating so much fun :).  I've used the new Butterfly Folk and Butterfly Folk Outline on my first card.

I started by stamping my Butterfly Folk Outline images on watercolor cardstock using watermark ink.  I then heat embossed my images using white embossing powder.

Next, I sponged ink over each butterfly, spritzed them with water and then added some soft white paint splatters.  I adhered them to a block of white cardstock die cut using the new Simply Stitched A2 Vertical die.  In the corners you'll see that I used Fine Linen ink to stamp the new Corner Adorners:  April.  Love this fun new set too!

Lastly, I added my flowers, using both the Butterfly Folk and Butterfly Folk Outline sets.  My sentiment comes from another new set you'll be hearing more about in a couple of days :).  

On my next card, I've used the beautiful, new Botanical Bounty stamp set for my florals.  This set is just delicious!  One of those must-have florals, you know?

I was trying to channel my inner Cath Kidston on this card...anyone else love her like I do?  I stamped in Pale Peony, Sweet Blush, Spring Rain, Mint Julep, Harvest Gold, Pure Poppy, Hibiscus Burst, Berry Sorbet, and Spring Moss.

I used a sentiment from the Pen & Ink stamp set.  I LOVE the new Bold Borders:  Flare die.  It's used to create the beautiful frame around my sentiment.  It can go from bold and bright, to more of a soft, subtle accent, and that's the direction I went with it here.  

Before  go, I wanted to show you a simple way to step up this project.  I felt like some polka-dots were needed to further my Cath Kidston theme, so I used the Botanical Bounty dies with Bitty Big Aqua Mist paper and tucked a couple of the leaves in under my stamped images...simple addition, but I like it LOTS :).

New Papertrey Ink Products Used:

irish blessings and corner adorner: feb...

Today we are sharing projects created with more new producst from Papertrey Ink.  My first card uses the darling, new Corner Arorner: February and Sentiment Staples:  Birthday stamp sets.

 

I stamped the same sentiment a variety of times down the center of my tag and stamped my flowers in the same colors:  Pale Peony, Pure Poppy, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Berry Sorbet, Mint Julep, Lilac Grace, and Aqua Mist.

I layered my tag over Bitty Big Aqua Mist paper and Lemon Tart cardstock.  The Corner Adorners:  February set makes creating so quick and easy!

Next up, I used the new Irish Blessings stamp set on the focal point of my card, using the fun coordinating die cuts to create depth and dimension.  I stamped in Autumn Rose, Spring Moss, and Prairie Grass.  I used a flower from the new 2018 Anniversary Set as well.

Across the base of my card I used the new Celtic Knots stamp set, stamping a variety of images in Spring Moss, Green Parakeet, Lavender Moon, and Lilac Grace.

introducing dress up dolls: birthday...

Good Tuesday Morning!  It's the first day of Papertrey Ink's January release, so it's bound to be a great day, right?  Today I get to introduce you to a new stamp set called Dress Up Dolls:  Birthday.  It coordinates with the original Dress Up Dolls:  Basics stamp set, but can easily be used alone, as I've shown here in my first card.

I've used the darling balloons and gift images from this Dress Up Dolls:  Birthday stamp set, along with a sentiment.  I used the Shape Up Series:  Cupcake die to create my card, using the darling new What the Doodle:  Paisley stamp set in the background.  The tiny sprinkles stamped along with the paisleys are from the new Splits:  Hello There stamp set.

I stamped my sentiment on a die cut Tremendous Tag and tied it to some polka dot tulle to finish.  I chose to stamp in Hibiscus Burst, Melon Berry, Green Parakeet, Aqua Mist, and Summer Sunrise.

My next card uses the girl image from the Dress Up Dolls:  Basics stamp set and I've framed her face using the Limitless Layers:  Hearts Stitches and 2 1/4" Hearts dies.

I paper-pieced my balloons once again and added confetti, sentiment, noise maker and hat from the Dress Up Dolls:  Birthday stamp set.

I made this last card with my little nephew Granty in mind :)....he is precious and adorable and sweet as can be, and the little faces in Dress Up Dolls:  Basics remind me of him.  My mom just shared a picture of him with me showing off his smile after just losing his first tooth :).

I love creating cards for the little guys once in a while, so this one goes out to them.  I stamped faces around the outside edges of my Kraft cardstock base in Dark Cocoa ink.  I then added a party hat, cake, sentiment, and streamers to bring in color and dimension.

birthday wrap inspiration...

Hey there!  Ready for some more Papertrey Ink goodness?  Today we are sharing new products centered around birthdays, including tags, cards, and pretty packaging.

I've used the darling, new For You stamp set and For You Tag dies on my card.  The tag consists of 3 layers, the bottom layer was cut using the Basic Cut Tag die.  I die cut my center tag layer (using the For You tag die) from watercolor cardstock and then used my Zig watercolor markers to color each candle.  I then used stamps from a new set you'll hear more about tomorrow, to add pattern to each candle...swirls, stripes, dots, etc.  I then topped off each candle with some Diamond Stickles.  Lastly, I added the top layer of the tag, cut from Limeade Ice Gingham, using the new Window Cut Tag die.

I added my For You sentiment to a die cut Double Ended Banner.   At the bottom of my card I've used the new Keep it Simple:  Birthday III stamp set in Summer Sunrise.  At the top of my card, I used a confetti image from the Good Times stamp set, stamping it in Aqua Mist ink.

My tag for my tiny gift bag, uses the same set of dies and same technique, the only difference is that I cut my top layer from Hawaiian Shore Stripe paper, and stamped my sentiment on a die cut Paper Clippings:  Birthday Details die, stamping in Hibiscus Burst ink.

The little glittered stars on both tags were cut using the Sweet Holiday Wishes die.  My tag is attached to a gift bag, die cut using the In the Bag die and was cut using Pale Peony + White Basics.  

Next up is a gift, wrapped up in a burlap drawstring bag, embellished with a tag cut using the new Wrap it Up die collection.  This set is AMAZING!  So perfect for lots of different occasions.

I used Kraft cardstock for the main portion of my die cut gift, adding stamping using the Polka Dot Basics III stamp set and white embossing powder.

My bow was die cut using Chicken Scratch Gingham paper and paper from the Make it Market Kit: Post & Parcel.  I embellished with berries from the Make it Market Mini Kit:  Color Pop Autumn, and pine sprigs from the Shaped Sayings:  Christmas die collection.  My tag is stamped using a sentiment from the Mini Blooms stamp set.
