summer lovin'...

Hello!  We are thick into Summer vacation here and learning how to adjust to the new routine :).  As soon as I'm adjusted, it will be time for school to start again, right?

I have a few cards to share with you today.  My first uses a few of my favorite Papertrey Ink stamp sets, Forget-Me-Not, A Bit More:  Butterfly Blooms, Fancy Flourishes, and Penned Elegance.

The Forget-Me-Not set was used on my background florals, stamping in Pale Peony, Autumn Rose, Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides, Stormy Sea, and Ripe Avocado.  

I used the Penned Elegance stamp set and coordinating die for my sentiment, stamping in Autumn Rose.  I just love the butterfly from A Bit More:  Butterfly Blooms, so I added one stamped in Spring Moss, and then finished with Fancy Flourishes stamped in Ocean Tides and some Bitty Big:  Pale Peony paper.

I used the sweet Baby Mine stamp set and coordinating dies on my next card....what a darling baby set this is!

I used the new Cloud Stencils in the background, sponging them in Aqua Mist.  My sentiment is stamped in Stormy Sea with my tiny elephant stamped with an outline of Pale Peony ink and die cut from patterned paper.  I then stamped the polka dotted ear on white cardstock and cut it out so that I could create a little dimension.

The elephant was layered over a scalloped circle cut using the Shape Shifters:  Circle 2 die.  Across the bottom of my card I added stamped flowers in coordinating colors using images from the Gathered Garden stamp set. 

And lastly, this card was created for Emma's Paperie and is based on a beautiful color combination you can find on the blog.

I used the Miss Betty collection from Kaisercraft and LOVE it!  What sweet, vintage inspired images you'll find in this collection.

Hello Autumn-lovers!  My card today reminds me of all of the things I love about fall crafting....mixing and matching patterns, gingham of course :), tiny birds, hearts, and warm, rich colors.  It was created for Emma's Paperie and is based on a beautiful color combination found there.

I used the Vintage Blessings collection from Simple Stories and it is completely irresistible...perhaps one of my most favorite from Simple Stories.

I wanted to share a few sweet things from my shop at Mountain Mercantile with you today...I've been busy decorating and displaying my favorite Autumn decorations.  

Sweet additions, perfect for your Thanksgiving table...16" Tissue Paper Trees ($15) and Thanksgiving Dome Ornaments in three different styles ($6 each).  Of course our sparkly Glittered Bottle Brush Trees in a variety of sizes.  Wooden Drawers....love these ($12).

Burlap Farm Truck Pillows ($12).  I've got a major thing for farm trucks lately :).

Burlap Autumn Blessings Pillows ($8)...they measure about 8"x8".

Crabapple, Astilbe, and other florals!

Glass Birds in Nests in a variety of colors...they clip right to your sweet little Tissue Paper Tree and are perfect for Christmas and Winter too ($7).

And perhaps my most favorite addition of all, our Glittery Turkey Containers...they are gorgeous  ($12).

peace, pumpkins, and joy...

Hello my sweet friends!  I hope you're doing well.  My heart has been awfully sad and weighed down these last few days, but today there is a different feeling inside, and that is one of gentle comfort, hope, and gratitude.  I hope you can feel it too.  This past weekend was one  I look forward to twice a year, General Conference weekend from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  The messages I heard keep coming back to me and the feeling I felt while listening to each message, the spirit felt while listening to the truths which I so firmly believe in, have brought me happiness and overwhelming gratitude, and comfort.  If you ever wonder what that feeling might feel like or find yourself searching for truth and answers, please follow this link to learn more about what I believe.  

I've been enjoying the Wonderland Kit from Papertrey Ink and have mixed it with a couple of other stamp sets here on my card today.  Across the bottom I used the Fair Isle Borders stamp set and added the tiny deer images from the Wonderland Kit just above the stamped border.  I love how they look lined up and spread across the card.

I then used the Background Basics:  Celestial Sky stamp set on my die cut tag because the sprinkles of stars also resemble snow falling gently.  I stamped my sentiment from the Beautiful Berries:  Winter stamp set and added flowers from the Wonderland kit.  They are so beautiful and I love playing with different color combinations as I create.  All of the supplies used on this card can be found at the end of my post.

I haven't posted photos of my little shabby spot at Mountain Mercantile for a while and wanted to share a few today, now that I've got it all dressed up for Halloween.  I'll happily ship anything you see, so just send me a note :).  I'm crazy for the darling glittered, jumbo candy corn ($6 per package.)

I've got a handful of these vintage shadow boxes, available in 4 styles ($13 each), and glittered crows in cages ($9).  I'm especially fond of the orange and black bottlebrush trees, available in a variety of sizes ranging in price from $4-$12.

Glittered spider webs in black and orange ($10), and large vintage-inspired paper rosettes for Halloween parties or decorating ($5), available in 3 styles.

Halloween festooning in orange and black  ($9), you can see it spilling out of the witches hat, glittered pumpkins ($10).

Grapevine pumpkin ($10), shabby metal Homegrown bucket ($29), crabapple picks ($4.99), and mustard astilbe bushes ($4.99).

I've also got some new candle scents coming very soon...hopefully my yummy smelling packages will arrive today ;).

wishing you well...

Hi there!  I've been craving flowers....spring flowers in all of their sweet, soft, pastels.  I've got the bug to redecorate my whole house to freshen it up after our long winter.  BUT, that's not very feasible, so I'm getting my floral fix with my stamps today :).  Anyone else feel like this after winter comes and goes?

I began with the Whole Lotta stamp set from Reverse Confetti.  I love the darling 4-step flowers found in this set.  I stamped them in a variety of soft colors, outlining them in black to bring in some bold contrast.

I then used the Outlined stamp set for my sentiment.  This is a fun two-step sentiment set, but it doesn't have to be more than just one step....you choose :).  I used a couple of different colors here, softening up the bold black used in my flowers.  My card base was created using the Linked Circles Cover Panel....a favorite of mine.

 

My next card was created for Emma's Paperie and is based on a sketch you can find on the blog there.  

I've used beautiful, shabby, vintage-y Kaisercraft products on this card...love that old typewriter.

I haven't share a quote on my blog in quite some time...and quotes are little bursts of sunshine and happiness in my life, so it's due time I shared one of my favorites...from a woman I admire and look up to very much.  If you haven't read her book, Glimpses, I recommend it!  It's one that I turn to over and over again.   It will lift, brighten, encourage, and make you feel, oh, so loved!

all i want is pink for Christmas...

Hello there!  Hope you're all enjoying the most beautiful November Sunday yet....loving it here.  Getting rainy, stormy, and we're sure hoping for some snowflakes to start falling.

My first card today was created for Emma's Paperie and is based on a sketch you can find there.  I've used the beautiful Sugar Plum Collection from My Mind's Eye on my card.  Emma's has a great stash of this lovely line and many more.

Love the colors and images included throughout, not to mention the glittered accents are gorgeous!
