papertrey ink: day 1...

Morning!  Welcome to Day 1 of the November Release from Papertrey Ink.  My first card today uses one of my new favorite stamp sets, the Floral Fantasy:  Christmas stamp set and coordinating dies. 

I love the dancing reindeer in this set and had to use it!  I stamped it on metallic gold cardstock using watermark ink and then heat embossed it using white embossing powder.  I then die cut it and added stamped and die cut florals around its neck.  I stamped in Autumn Rose, Scarlet Jewel, Simply Chartreuse, Prairie Grass, Berry Sorbet, and Honey Nut.

I used the new Nesting Basics:  Rectangles and Nesting Frames:  Pierced Rectangles to create a place for my deer take center stage.  In the background, I used the Winter Window stamp set to create my falling snow, stamping it in Classic Kraft.  I added my sentiments form the Floral Fantasy:  Christmas stamp set, stamping in Scarlet Jewel.  I added photo corners, cut using a die from the Make it Market Kit:  Fairy Tale Christmas, and a vellum snowflake, cut using the Snowfall Style II die.  I added Bitty Big Simply Chartreuse in the background to bring in color and pattern.

I am truly smitten with this next stamp set...Enchanted Forest.  It is so sweet and completely enjoyable to play with.  The trees were just begging me to to be stamped in pink and aqua and I love how they look. 

I stamped in Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Pale Peony, Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, and Mint Julep.  I created a tag with them using the new Shape Shifters:  Circle 4 die, which was cut with a white layer attached over a metallic gold layer.  Can you tell that gold cardstock is my latest color crush? 

I stamped my sentiment from the Enchanted Forest set on a die cut Scalloped Tag and adhered it along with vellum Snowfall Style II snowflakes to to the top of my tag and finished with sequins and some gold bling.

friendly frolic...

Morning!  It's hot and slightly miserable around here lately and I suppose I'm jumping the gun a bit, but I feel like crafting for Fall!  I used supplies from Simon Says Stamp's new Friendly Frolic release on my card today...such a fun release!

The new Friendly Frolic Diamond Pattern Wafer Die is beautiful and you can see it here, used as my background.  I cut it from scarlet cardstock, layering it over cream cardstock.  I added melted enamel splatters using Shabby Green Embossing Enamel from Stampendous.

Over my background, I added fun toppings using patterned paper and stamps from Carta Bella's new Fall Break collection.  Oh how I love this sweet new line....makes me happy!  To create a patterned paper border in coordinating colors, I used Fall Break paper along with the Spellbinders Lily Pearl Flat Fold die.  

I brought in texture and dimension by die cutting leaves from corrugated and glittered cardstock, two of my favorite elements.  Next, I stamped my sentiment from the Fall Break stamp set on a tag cut using the Round Top Tag from Reverse Confetti and then added a few enamel dots to finish.

simon says stamp - good vibes...

Hey, you!  Just popping in with something fun from Simon Says Stamp!  Their Good Vibes release is full of such inspiring products and I got to use the beautiful Hibiscus Frame Wafer Die in celebration of this release!

I colored my flower using ink blending and patterned paper and added melted enamel splatters to give it some depth and personality.  My sentiment comes from the More Essential Sentiments stamp set from My Favorite Things....love this set and the fun options included.

Behind my flower I used the Wonky Stitched Square Stax Die-namics to frame it in and give it a nice, solid base layer.  This card makes me long for sandy beaches and fresh, salty air!

best.mom.ever...

I love making Mother's Day cards...anyone else?  I know this can be a hard occasion to create for and a hard to for many to celebrate.  My heart goes out to you, if you're in this category....I am as well :).  Infertility has not been a kind and gentle disease for me, it takes its toll every, single day... but I have to step back and remind myself of all I have instead of thinking about what I'm missing.  One day my arms will be full and my Sierra will have siblings to love and enjoy.

I created  my card today using the new Best Mom stamp set from the Fluttering By Simon Says Stamp release.  What a beautiful stamp set to create with, especially if you love to color!  I stamped my image on watercolor cardstock using watermark ink and then heat embossed using white embossing powder.  I then sponged on my ink colors and spritzed my cardstock with water to activate the colors.  Love this effect.  

Next, I added a bit of color using my Zig Clean color makers.  I cut my floral image from the cardstock base it was stamped on and layered it over my card base.  I added stamped flowers to my background and a sentiment across the bottom, from the Tweet Wishes stamp set.  

Just want you to know I'm thinking of you sweet women in my life today, whether we've met before or not, whether you're my family or my friend, someone who feels forgotten or alone, someone fighting a silent battle each day...you are loved more than you'll ever know!

autism awareness blog hop...

Good morning!  Today I am happy to be participating in a blog hop celebrating Autism Awareness, organized by Veronica Zalis. How special are the many individuals who have autism...they truly make this world brighter, more colorful, diverse, compassionate, understanding, and unique.  

I had to use this sentiment for this special occasion...I would use it for every person in my life, as it is so true to each one of us, isn't it?  I used the Wild About You stamp set and coordinating dies from My Favorite Things on my card today, paper piecing and using Copics on my lion.

I used the Radiating Rays stencil from My Favorite Things in the background, sponging ink over my stencil to create the sunbeams.  I then used stitched circle dies to create my focal point, using a fun, playful plaid in the background that coordinated with my lion.

Lastly, I embellished with some star dies cuts, sequins, and of course, finished with my sweet sentiment.

dt tips - stamping off...

Good morning!  Today I'm on the Papertrey Ink blog with DT Tips.  I've created a couple of cards for you using one of my favorite techniques, the Stamping Off technique.  

I always seem to gravitate towards the softer side of the color chart, and love pastels, subtle color effects, and getting more out of my ink pads.  The Stamping Off technique is easy and involves very few steps.

1. Ink up your stamp with your desired color.
2. Stamp "off" onto a scrap piece of paper.
3. Stamp on your desired surface.

This creates a very subtle shade of color, almost translucent, reminding me of seeing through a colored glass jar...meaning that you can get more than one color out of each of your ink pads :)...from light to bright.  On this card, each image you see, except for my sentiments and bunny outline, was stamped using the Stamping Off technique.  I've used the darling Bunny Blessings and A Bit More Bunny Blessings stamp sets on my sweet Easter card.

This next card uses quite bright and bold colors, such as Pure Poppy, Raspberry Fizz, and Prairie Grass to create my soft background and florals.

I even used the Stamping Off technique for my tiny berry dots and sentiment.  I love how the color is variegated, with portions lighter or darker than others.

My pink florals are stamped first in Pure Poppy with Raspberry Fizz used on the second, detailed layer...but the colors turned out a shade or two lighter than they would if I had stamped directly onto my surface without Stamping Off first.  I love the shades created with this technique.

I've always been a fan of vellum, and this technique reminds me of what adding vellum over my stamped images would look like...diluted, soft, and very dreamy :).

This is an older card of mine, but uses the very stamp technique, combined with Farmer's Market Florals...love how the background turned out.

MFT Countdown Day 2...

Are you ready for some more MFT cuteness?  Today I am sharing a card created with the new Giraffing Me Crazy stamp set and coordinating Die-namics.

I watercolored my little giraffe, attaching it to a die cut Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle STAX.  In the background I've used the new Stencil Cloud...the most amazing product ever!  I am crazy about it!  My clouds are sponged on my card base using Sno Cone ink.

I stamped my sentiment across the bottom on a die cut Stitched Sentiment Strip and added a bit of plaid paper and die cut Photo Corners to finish.

MFT Countdown Day 3...

It's another day of new releases from My Favorite Things!  Today I get to share with you a card created with the new Ocean Pals stamp set and coordinating Die-namics.  The tiny whale grabbed my attention right off and I had to use it on my birthday card.

I used the new Bold Stripes Cover-Up Die-namics in the background, stamping my sentiment randomly on the strips of Whip Cream cardstock.  I then layered on my Cross Stitch Circle STAX Die-namics, Sunny Skies Die-namics, and my whale, ocean wave, and star fish.

I used paper from the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots and Solid Stripes Kraft Collections because I am a sucker for anything Kraft and these paper packs are adorable, especially on my paper-pieced whale.

MFT Countdown Day 4...

Hello there!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  I am loving today's new products from My Favorite Things.  I had the best time creating this fun, ocean-themed card.  I used the new Exquisite Ocean stamp set as the main focus...I love the 2-step fishes :).

Behind my sea creatures, you'll notice the new Square Peek-a-Boo Window and Square Shaker Pouch....I am smitten!  What a wonderful way to create shaker cards!  So easy and clean.  I filled my pouch with assorted sequins in different shades of blue, a few in white, and many in different sizes.

Across the bottom of my card I used the new Ocean Waves Die-Namics.  My waves were cut from MFT paper in different shades of blue and in different patterns.  Pattern mixing is one of my loves when it comes to card-making.  Lastly, I used the Blueprints 31 Die-namics for the banner where I stamped my sentiment and it is from the new Ocean Pals stamp set.

MFT Countdown Day 5...

Hello there!  The My Favorite Things May countdown has begun!  Today I am sharing a card using the new Beach Bunnies stamp set and coordinating Die-namics...such sweet products!

I paper-pieced my bunnies, using paper from the Dots & Stripes Confection Paper Pack and used the Die-namics Stitched Heart STAX to create my focal point.  I added a second sentiment across the bottom by using the Twice the Hugs Die-namics and lovely, new Roses All Over Pastels paper.

I created little heart flowers by using the small heart die from the Beach Bunnies Die-namics, felt, and leaves from the Doodled Blooms stamp set.  Across the top I added a bit more pattern and character by using the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2 Die-namics.

MFT - creative construction with blueprints...

Hello there!  I'm playing along with the new Creative Constructions with Blueprints Challenge from My Favorite Things.  Here is this month's challenge:

"Mixing and matching Blueprints elements is such an appealing way of creating something new and exciting. Sometimes though, you need a card and you need it in a hurry…enter Blueprints sketches. Every new Blueprints release includes a quartet of sketches featuring the elements. You choose the papers and stamps to coordinate but the design is done for you - easy peasy! Join our team this month as they interpret Blueprints sketches and make them their own."

I used the Die-namics Blueprints 31 for my card...I love rounded edges and this set of dies is full of them.  By sticking with one of the sketches included with the Blueprints, my card came together so quickly.  I just had to plug in my stamps (from the Farm Friends set) and then choose my papers (from the Dots & Stripes Confection Pad).

 

I added a touch of scallops at the bottom behind my sentiment using a portion of paper cut from the Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames Die-namics.

MFT April Release Replay...

Hi stampers!  Thank you for joining me for the April Release Replay from My Favorite Things.  Today I have chosen to use the darling, new Springtime Critters stamp set and coordinating Confetti Cuts.

My images were all stamped on Whip Cream cardstock and then color was added using my blending tool and ink.  I added a bit of detail using my Copics and then a little shimmer using Stickles Diamond Glitter.  I used the Sketched Blooms 2 stamp set at the base of my card to create a little flower garden for my critters and then framed in my images using the Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames Die-namics.

The Watercolor Wash Brights Paper Pad is my favorite, as I love the soft, subtle wash of color it adds, and used this pad for my frames.    My sentiment was stamped on a Stitched Sentiment Strip Die-namic and anchored with a button and twine.

MFT New Product Launch...

Woot!  Woot!  New stamping goodness is now available at My Favorite Things! I'm here to share with you one more project using the new and ever so irresistible Beautiful Butterflies and You Give Me Butterflies stamp sets.  Love 'em both!

I love the color palette used on this card, mixing and matching butterflies and flowers from two of my favorite sets, Beautiful Butterflies and Sketched Blooms 2.  I used two of the Premium Dye Ink Cubes sets, Set 16 and Set 17.  These sets compliment one another so beautifully.  

The new Die-namics Blueprints 32 was used to create my card base, inside frame, and tiny photo corners.  Love these Blueprints....they really are so inspiring and give you so many possibilities as to where to start creating.  Once again I used paper from the Dots & Stripes Confection Paper Pack...another favorite MFT product of mine :).

MFT New Release Countdown - Day 1...

Hello!  We've just about made it to the BIG DAY...when all of the fun, new products from MFT will be available!  Today I'm sharing the new Tweet Wishes stamp set and coordindating Die-namics.  All of these delightful, new products will be up for grabs April 4th, 9PM EDT, HERE at My Favorite Things.

I'm in love with the sweet peek-a-boo windows that can be created with the new Die-namics Stitched Oval Word Windows.  To add color to my stamped images, I stamped each using watermark ink and then heat embossed them using white embossing powder.  

Next, I sponged coordinating color of ink over each, added a bit of color with my Copics, and then used the Die-namics to cut each out.  I've created my scene using the Die-namics Blueprints 31 and Die-namics Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2.  All of my products are listed for you below.

MFT New Release Countdown - Day 2...

Hey dog-lovers!  This sweet new set from MFT is just for you...and me :).  It's the Four-Legged Friends stamp set and seeing as how we are very much dog loves here (the outside kind), this set was so fun to play with.

I stamped my images on Whip Cream Cardstock using watermark ink and then heat embossed each using brown embossing powder.  I then used chalk to add color to my pooches as well as using Copics here and there.  Next, I used the coordinating Four-Legged Friends Die-namics.  I framed them in using the Die-namics Single Stitch Line Rounded Squares with Watercolor Wash Paper used in the background.  I added clouds and grass from the Die-namics Spring Scene Builder, using Tiny Check Brights and Dots & Stripes Confection Paper (also used below). 

I stamped my upper sentiment on a Die-namics Stitched Tiny Tag using Coral Crush ink.  My lower sentiment was stamped on a Die-namics Oval Word Window Frame.

MFT New Release Countdown - Day 3...

Happy, Sweet Sunday!  Today marks the third day of MFT's April Countdown and I'm sharing with you the new Pure Innocence Fresh Squeezed stamp set and coordinating Die-namics.

I LOVE this darling image and all of the sentiments included in this set.  I paper-pieced my little girl, adding a bit of color with my Copics and chalk.  I've used the new Stitched Dome STAX Die-namics and Stitched Dome Frames Die-namics in the background along with the Radiating Rays Stencil.

I chose paper from the Plaid Patterns and Dots & Stripes Confection Paper Packs.  The tiny hearts are from the new Die-namics Blueprints 32.

MFT New Release Countdown - Day 4...

Hi friends!  Today I'm sharing with you the new Up In the Air stamp set and coordinating Die-namics from My Favorite Things.  These new products will be available on April 4, 9 PM EDT HERE at My Favorite Things.

The images in this set are so sweet and playful....so many possibilities exist with it.  I chose to paper-piece my hot air balloon, using paper from the Dots & Stripes Confection Paper Pack and Plaid Patterns Paper Pack.  MFT paper packs coordinate so well together.  My heart banner was cut from Whip Cream cardstock and then sponged with coordinating colors of ink.  I've used Razzle Berry, Orange Fizz, Spearmint, and Kraft ink colors on my card.

My little scene was created inside a Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frame Die-namic, cut from paper from the Watercolor Wash Paper Pack.  My tiny birds and hillside are also from this paper pack.  I used the new Die-namics Spring Scene Builder as well, adding grass and a fence.  How fun to pick and choose elements from this collection to customize a particular scene for your card?  The felt flowers were cut using the smallest flower die from the new Springtime Blooms Die-namics.

I stamped my Springtime Blooms using watermark ink and then heat embossed each using white embossing powder.  I then sponged on an array of ink to bring in color.  My tiny clouds at the top use the Cloud 9 Die-namics and the grass across the bottom was created using the new Die-namics Spring Scene Builder and Watercolor Wash Brights Paper Pack.

MFT Doodled Blooms Card Kit is Here!...

The wait is finally over and the Doodled Blooms Card Kit from My Favorite Things is available now!    I combined this kit with the Die-namics Blueprints 31.  I used paper from the Watercolor Wash Paper Pad on my bottom layer and the Tiny Hearts Pastels Paper Pad on my circular top layer.

I stamped my floral background using images from Doodled Blooms on Whip Cream Cardstock using Blu Raspberry, Electric Red, Bubblegum, Limeade, and Lemon Drop ink.

I then stamped and die cut three flowers and stems to form my focal point, sponging on ink over each die cut.  I then adhered them to the center of my card using dimensional adhesive and finishing with my stamped sentiment and buttons.

More MFT Doodled Blooms...

Hello!  Sharing with you another card created with the oh, so adorable, Doodled Blooms Card Kit from My Favorite Things.  It will be available HERE at MFT, March 21 @9PM EDT.  These lovely blooms hold so much potential when it comes to using them with different techniques.

 

Today's card was created by stamping my blooms on watercolor cardstock using watermark ink, and heat embossing with white powder.  I then used my Zig Clean Color Markers and added color and water to each image.

My card base was stamped with images from Doodled Blooms and then a strip of coordinating paper from the Plaid Patterns Paper Pad was used on the other side.  I used the Single Stitch Line Rounded Square Die-namics, the Radiating Rays Stencil, and the Watercolor Wash Paper Pack to create my frame and focal point.

MFT March Card Kit - Doodled Blooms...

Hi there, sweet friends!  Today I'm sharing a couple of cards created with the new Doodled Blooms card kit from My Favorite Things...it's pretty darned cute!

I created a mini card set using these darling stamps as my focal point.  I stamped my images in Wild Wisteria and Spearmint and then used the coordinating Doodled Blooms Die-namics.  I added color using my Prismacolor colored pencils

Both flowers were matted on paper from the Watercolor Wash Paper Pad and then framed using the Dots & Stripes Confection Paper Pad, cut using the Die-namics Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames.

After using my colored pencils on the Doodled Blooms, I coated them in white glitter to add a bit of shimmer.  I then die cut my card base to create a decorative edge using the Stitched Scalloped Basic Edges 2 Die-namics and then added coordinating paper from the Roses All Over Pastels Paper Pad.

MFT March Release Replay...

Hello friends!  Thanks so much for joining me for the March MFT Release Replay!  I've chosen to use the darling, new Showering You With Love stamp set and coordinating Die-namics for my card.  These sets are so much fun to paper-piece, so I grabbed my MFT paper pads and set to work.

I used the Blueprints 31 Die-namics for my card layers and paper from the Painted Prints Smitten Paper Pack and Tiny Check Brights Paper Pack for my background and paper-piecing.  I used chalk to color the face, hands, and knees of the little girl along with the ducks, water, and grass.  Chalk is another of my favorite mediums to use.

I used the Radiating Rays stencil for my background, sponging on Banana Split ink....that's my favorite yellow :).    My sentiment and images were all stamped using Chocolate Brown ink.  I used a few Copic markers to bring in color as well.    Instead of using the raindrop images as if there were falling from the sky, I turned them upside down and used them as water splashes from the tiny ducks down below...such a sweet, spring set!

MFT New Product Launch...

Welcome! It's March Reveal Day for My Favorite Things Stamps and all of the new goodies that you've been seeing online for the past few days are now available.  My card today uses the Bundle of Baby Clothes Die-namics and Welcome, Baby stamp set.

I began by using the Single Stitch Line Rounded Rectangle Die-namics to create my frame, and stamped the inside rectangle using the new BG Mesh Background stamps, stamping in Kraft ink and sponging on some Tickled Pink ink.  I then paper-pieced my tiny baby clothes and bibs and hung them from a clothesline created from baker's twine.

 

I stamped the top portion of my sentiment using Bubblegum ink and the bottom potion using Spearmint ink.  My card base was created using Whip Cream cardstock.

MFT New Release Countdown - Day 1...

Today is the last day of new releases before all of the delightful, new My Favorite Things products are available...I have loved working with all of these incredible products this month.  Today I'm sharing the new Home Sweet Home Die-namics and No Place Like Home stamp set.  

I used the new Blueprints 31 Die-namics to create my gingham and aqua card base.  I used the Tiny Check Brights Paper Pad and Sno Cone cardstock for this bottom layer.  I then die cut my next layer from Whip Cream cardstock and sponged Sno Cone ink on over my Radiating Rays Stencil.  My little houses from the Home Sweet Home Die-namics were paper-pieced and assembled along with a few tiny topiaries.

It's so hard selecting a sentiment from the No Place Like Home stamp set because I love each and every one of them, but for this card, I selected this sweet sentiment, stamping it in Razzle Berry ink and embellishing with a few clouds cut using the Cloud 9 Die-namics.

MFT New Release Countdown - Day 2...

Do I ever have the cutest, tiniest, most adorable products to share with you tonight for the My Favorite Things' March release...sweet as can be!

My card uses the new Welcome, Baby stamp set, the Bundle of Baby Clothes Die-namics, and the Party Banners Die-namics.  The bitty, little clothes are so much fun to cut from patterned paper and mix and match the bibs, hangers, and other items.  I created a focal point for my little baby clothes by using the Single Stitch Line Rounded Rectangle Die-Namics.  I then stamped the top portion of my sentiment on vellum using watermark ink and then heat embossed it using white embossing powder.  The bottom portion of my sentiment was stamped in Sno Cone ink.  

The new Party Banners Die-namics are also fun to mix and match with patterned paper, different colors, etc.  I used the Painted Prints Smitten Paper Pack on a portion of my banners.  I haven't created for a baby boy in ages!  I've always been a bit partial to girls ;)....but this line-up of products quickly had me thinking in a different direction.  Lots of versatility and creativity waiting!

MFT New Release Countdown - Day 3

 

Hello friends! My Favorite Things has so many adorable products out this month....I'm having so much fun creating!  Today's card uses the new Critter Clan stamp set and Die-namics.  I had the hardest time choosing which little critter to use on my card, but settled on this sweet owl.  The sentiment kinda sunk me...love it :).

I used the new Radiating Rays stencil on my background, sponging on Banana Split ink.  I then used the Pierced Heart STAX Die-namics and Tiny Check Brights paper and started layering on my toppings, including my paper-pieced and Copic colored Critter Clan Owl and leaves die cut from patterned paper.

I stamped my sentiment in Bubblegum ink on a new Fishtail Flag Frame Die-namics....these are wonderful!  I added one more heart at the bottom, die cut using the Pierced Heart STAX Die-namics once again.

The little fox in this darling stamp set is calling my name next.

MFT New Release Countdown - Day 5

Hi there!  I'm so excited to be here with you today, joining the team at My Favorite Things as an official design team member.  I LOVE MFT stamps and am still pinching myself because of this opportunity!  Today we begin the March countdown and I've got a sweet stamp set to share with you called Sow Much Cuteness :).  All of the new products I'll be sharing will be available on March 7th, 9PM EST.  

Talk about a set that is over-the-top cute...this one has my heart.  I used the coordinating Sow Much Cuteness Die-namics, die cutting my pigs and butterfly from Whip Cream cardstock.  I added Bubblegum ink to my pigs by lightly sponging it on unevenly.  In the background, my sunshine was created using the new Radiating Rays Stencil and Banana Split ink.  I added color to my butterfly by paper-piecing its wings and adding Copics and glitter to its body.

 

I used the new Blueprints 31 Die-namics to create my layered card base, cutting the bottom layer from the Painted Prints Smitten Paper Pack, adding in scalloped grass cut using the Stitched Scallop Basics Edges 2 Die-namics.  My tiny Sno Cone cardstock clouds were cut using the Cloud 9 Die-namics.

MFT Stamps Release Night...

The My Favorite Things Release Day is finally here!  It's been such a fun month to get to join the wonderfully talented team at MFT...thank you for having me!  All of the new stamp set and Die-namics I've been using are available right now HERE in the MFT Boutique.

One last card before I go, this one using the lovely, Sketched Blooms 2 stamp set...it's such a creative and inspiring set with lots of possibilities waiting to be explored.

I stamped my Sketched Blooms 2 on a block of cardstock, then created a heart-shaped window from a second block of cardstock using the Die-namics Pierced Heart STAX.  Before adhering it to my stamped portion, I added a few Sketched Blooms 2 near the bottom and upper corners, then embossed it with an embossing folder from my stash.  

The "Friend" from the new Words for Friends Die-namics was used across the bottom of my card, stitched on after I sponged on some coordinating colors.

I then adhered my two blocks together using dimensional adhesive and stamped a sentiment from the Lots of Hugs stamp set on a Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics and adhered it across the center of my heart.  I used my white pen to add a few details to the centers of my flowers to finish off my card.

MFT February Release Countdown - Day 5...

Hey!  Welcome to the last day of My Favorite Things' February Release.  Tomorrow night is the New Launch Post, so you'll want to come back for that, but in the meantime, how about a little intro to the new Boss Babe stamp set!  Such a fun and unique set that's all about celebrating YOUR amazingness :).

I've wanted a stamp for my little etsy shop, thanking customers for their orders, and here it is!  I stamped my sentiment on watercolor cardstock that was cut using the Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames Die-namics.  After stamping it in watermark ink, I used white embossing powder and heat set it in place.  Next I added water and used my Zig Clean Color Markers to bring in color.  

I stamped my bag using another sentiment from Boss Babe that I love, stamping it in different shades of pink and orange.  Don't you love that sentiment too?  I added a stamped heart, also from Boss Babe, on a heart cut using the Pierced Heart STAX Die-namics.

MFT February Release Countdown - Day 4...

 

Hi again!  I'm back with more new release products from My Favorite Things.  Today I am sharing a project using the new Uncorked stamp set, Wine Tag, Wine Service, and Cheers Die-namics.

 

I transformed my Wine Tag into a soda pop pocket :), folding the bottom portion of the tag upwards to create a pocket that could contain a gift card, note, tag, money, etc.  I used the Tiny Check Brights Paper Pack to create my tag along with Whip Cream Cardstock. Before adhering the folded portion, I attached a scallop border, cut using the Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames Die-namics.  Next, I stamped a few stars on my pocket using the new Space Explorer stamp set, and adhered my die cut Cheers and stamped balloons.

My tag is embellished using the new Wine Service Die-namics bottle and I added balloons springing out of the top, stamped and die cut using the Space Explorer stamp set, with my stars paper-pieced with bits of different patterned paper.  Down the side of my tag I used the new Uncorked stamp set, finding a sentiment that would work perfectly for my soda pop pocket :).

The tag fits nice and snug inside the pocket, and is ready to share with the birthday girl or boy.

MFT February Release Countdown - Day 3...

It's another day closer to the My Favorite Things February release!  Today I get to share with you a card created with the ever-so-sweet, Happy Together stamp set and coordinating Die-namics. These new products will be available on February 7th, 9PM EST.

I used chalk to color in my images on this card and love the soft effect.  I added a bit of color and detailing with my colored pencils and Copic markers.  My images were framed in using the new Single Stitch Line Rounded Square Frames Die-namics, and I stamped my background using the new Denim Background stamp in Sno Cone ink.  I used an image from the So Much Love stamp set near the bottom of my card as well as some bright, happy gingham patterned paper from the Tiny Check Brights Paper Pack.

The Cloud 9 Die-namics and cream felt added the perfect touch of softness needed for my little scene.  I had the hardest time choosing a sentiment from Happy Together, but settled on this one, stamped on a die cut Stitched Sentiment Strip Die-namic.

This card made me think of my little girl as I created it and made the creating even more enjoyable...not to mention, it has a fresh, spring feel to it as well!

MFT February Release Countdown - Day 2...

I'm back with more delightful, new products from My Favorite Things.  I have a big old crush on today's products, the Sketched Blooms 2 stamp set and Single Stitch Line Rounded Rectangle Frames Die-namics.

Floral stamp sets are a weakness of mine and the new Sketched Blooms 2 set is gorgeous and lends itself to so many different techniques and styles.  I stamped my card base with a few of these images, then moved on to my aqua rectangle, cut using the new Single Stitch Line Rounded Rectangle Frames Die-namics.  On this layer, I stamped my images with watermark ink and heat embossed them using white embossing powder.

Then I moved on to my messy, watercolored flowers in the foreground.  These were stamped on watercolor cardstock the heat embossed layer was meant to be scattered and soft and messy, as I like the way these flowers look that way.  I left some embossing powder on to further enhance this effect, instead of stamping them very precisely and cleanly.  After I heat embossed my blooms, I added water and more ink using my water brush.

Lastly I added my sentiment, part comes from the new Words for Friends Die-namies, and the stamped portion comes from the new Lots of Hugs stamp set.  I used a Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics to anchor this section of my sentiment....these are must haves in my craft stash of supplies :).  Some of the colors used on my card today come from Set 16 - Premium Dye Ink Cubes and Set 17 - Premium Dye Ink Cubes...such loves colors in both of these sets.

MFT February Release Countdown - Day 1...

Hello!  I'm lucky enough to get to join the My Favorite Things team as a guest this month and I couldn't be more excited about it!  Today is day 1 of their February release and I have used the new Friends Furever stamp set and Die-namics.  Such a sweet set and perfect for this time of year when love is in the air, but perfectly suitable for even more occasions throughout the year.

Paper-piecing is one of my most favorite techniques and this little set is perfect for it.  I used patterned paper to add color to my bear, puppy, and tiny bird.  They're sitting on top of letters cut using the new Twice the Hugs Die-namics.  My sentiment across the bottom is from the Friends Furever stamp set as well...this set is full of the sweetest sentiments.

Across the top of my card I added some scallops, cut using the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2 Die-namics and added a few hearts cut using the Stitched Heart Grid Die-namics for finishing touches.
