papertrey ink day 3...

Morning!  Welcome to Day 3 of the October Papertrey Ink Release...it's another fun one!

My first card uses the new Glorious Globes:  October stamp set and coordinating dies along with the Words to Live By:  Peace.  These may be my most favorite sets of both series.  I layered my die cut Limitless Layers:  2 1/4" Hearts over the new Shape Shifters:  Square 3 die.  Across the bottom, I used the gingham image from the Sending Joy stamp set.

My little wreath and bird are from the Glorious Globes:  October stamp set and I used Nuvo Crystal Drops in Simply White to add my berries.  My sentiment was stamped in Olive Twist and across the bottom I added a tone on tone Pure Poppy sentiment from the Sentiment Staples:  Merry Christmas stamp set.

My next card uses the darling, new Warmer Together stamp set and dies.  Aren't those tiny penguins so much fun for Christmas and Winter cards?

The new Bold Borders:  Flurries dies were used to create my Smokey Shadow background and "joy" cut from Aqua Mist.  I added Bitty Big Sweet Blush and Aqua Mist down the center.

My penguins are stamped in Sweet Blush, Melon Berry, True Black, and Saffron Spice.  I layered them over a die cut Shape Shifters Circle 3 die and added pink snow flurries and hearts finish.

papertrey ink day 2...

It's Day 2 of Papertrey Ink's October countdown and today's new products are irresistibly sweet!  My first card uses the new Warm & Fuzzy stamp set and coordinating dies.

I love the mixed fonts, with the tiny type font used throughout, allowing you to mix and match and customize.  I stamped my sentiment on a die cut Scalloped Tag.

I also used the new Shape Shifters:  Square 3 die, cutting it from Aqua Mist cardstock and layering it over a block of white cardstock, allowing the pattern to show from behind my stockings.

My sweet stockings were stamped in Aqua Mist, Pure Poppy, and Fine Linen, with the snowflake stamped in Olive Twist.  I added in some Bitty Big Pure Poppy paper to bring in additional pattern and color.

My next card uses more of the Warm & Fuzzy stamp set, but I've mixed it with the darling Corner Adorner:  October stamp set and coordinating dies.  I used the Scallop Stackers:  Medium die as my card base along with Kraft cardstock.

My Corner Adorner:  October images were stamped in Green Parakeet, Prairie Grass, Autumn Rose, Saffron Spice, and Olive Twist.  I layered them on a die cut Scalloped Tag, repeating the leafy green images there, stamping them in Spring Moss.  The berries are from the Pleasing Envelopes stamp set.

My sentiment is from the new Sentiment Staples:  Season's Greeting stamp set and this particular one coordinated perfectly with the images I chose to use :).

The snow at the top of both of my cards is my favorite thing to add lately!  It is from another new set you'll be hearing much  more about very soon.

New Papertrey Ink Supplies Used:

papertrey ink day 1...

Hello, friends!  Are you ready for the sweetest, most irresistible, new Papertrey Ink products?  My mind has been blown this month!  My first card uses the darling, new Fawn & Flora stamp set....I am totally enamored with this set! 

The sentiments are so creative and endearing....they make the stamp set even more special.  And...they fit perfectly on the Scalloped Tags.  

My sweet fawn was stamped on Sweet Blush cardstock using Fine Linen ink as the base layer and Saffron Spice for the darker, detailed areas.  I used Olive Twist for the eyes and nose.  The flowers were stamped in Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet, Autumn Rose, Spring Moss, and Ocean Tides.   

I used the Mix & Mat:  Plaid die, cut from Autumn Rose.  I used the rectangle die from the new Folded Pocket Tag die to cut a window in the center of my die and backed it with a die cut, cut using the Monthly Moments:  Journal Card 8 die, layered over Mint Julep Bitty Big paper.  I frosted the edges of my Mix & Mat:  Plaid die using melted embossing enamel.  To finish, I added a few die cut snowflakes cut using the 

 

My next card uses the beautiful, new Pleasing Envelopes stamp set....it's beautiful!  The flowers across the bottom of my card are from this set, stamping in Berry Sorbet, Melon Berry, Autumn Rose, Mint Julep, Spring Moss, Prairie Grass, Classic Kraft, and Ocean Tides.

I created the focal point for me card using the Shape Shifters:  Circle 3 die and Sweet Blush cardstock.  The tiny, snowy dots stamped near the top are from the Pleasing Envelopes stamp set as well.  I then layered on snowflakes cut using the Snowfall Style 2 dies and Silver White Wishes dies, cutting them from Bitty Big Mint Julep and Stamper's Select White, and glitter cardstock.  

The center of my snowflakes were embellished using stamps and dies from the new Sending Joy stamp set, stamping in Spring Moss, Prairie Grass, and Autumn Rose.  In the background you can see my coordinating envelope, stamped using only images from the Pleasing Envelopes stamp set.

There's so much to love about Pleasing Envelopes....this one will be getting a workout, not only for the holidays, but year-round.

Dressing up envelopes is such a special way to make your holiday cards spectacular!

Lastly, I created a gift card holder using the new Sending Joy stamp set and coordinating dies along with the new Folded Pocket Tag Die....this thing is so much fun!

The set comes with an oval and rectangular window.  Before die cutting my oval window from my tag, I stamped my cute gingham border in Pure Poppy across the bottom.  I then assembled my tag and embellished using images from the Sending Joy stamp set.  

I created a coordinating tag that slips inside the gift card holder, covering up the gift card.  Once again, I used the Scalloped Tag die for this.

Inside I added some Bitty Big:  Spring Moss paper, to show contrast through the window.  

Most defnitely, a bunch of fun and playful products this month....available on October 15th, 10PM EST.

New Papertrey Ink Supplies Used:

happy fall-idays, day 3...

Hello and Happy Fall-idays!  The Reverse Confetti team has one last day of fun, festive creations for you!  I used the Reverse Confetti Clear Totes for my project, adding a handmade tag to dress it up for the holidays.

My tag base was made using the Lacy Scallop Circles Confetti Cuts and Polar Cardstock.  I then added a die cut Leafy Wreath cut from patterned paper.

I dressed up my wreath by using the Vintage Ornaments stamp set and coordinating Confetti Cuts as well as the Christmas Candles stamp set with coordinating Confetti Cuts.  I added a few sequins here and there as berries.

Lastly, I die cut snowflakes using the Snowflake Trio Confetti Cuts and Salsa cardstock and added them to my tag to finish.  

Tags are a second love for me and creating them in a variety of shapes makes them even more fun.

reverse confetti fall-idays day 1...

Hello!  We at Reverse Confetti are having a fun, Fall-idays blog hop over the next few days.  My cards today are all about autumn and Halloween and I have loved using my Reverse Confetti supplies to celebrate this special time of year.

I used the gorgeous Fall Foliage stamp set and coordinating Confetti Cuts on my first card.  I stamped the images in watermark ink and then heat embossed them with gold embossing powder.  I then added color using ink blending and a few speckles created with embossing enamel once I was finished. 

I love adding in pinks and purples for autumn and these images are perfect for sponging on some fun and unique colors for fall.  I used a sentiment from the Autumn Blessings stamp set, paper from the Cheerful & Kind 6x6 paper pad, and the sweet Small Diamond Cover Penal in the background.

My next card uses the darling ghost and pumpkin from the Frightening Friends stamp set with the coordinating Confetti Cuts.  I stamped the spooky trees, clouds, and moon in the background on a block of Midnight cardstock.

I cut the panel for the front of my card along with the two strips of coordinating paper using the Bag & Tags Creator Confetti Cuts.  

I love creating Halloween cards with the sweet and whimsical images from the Frightening Friends stamp set....Halloween will be here and gone before we know it, so create your heart out while you can :).

throwback thursday: wreath for all seasons...

Hello, friends!  I'm here with an autumn card created for Papertrey Ink's Throwback Thursday feature.  We are pulling out the beautiful Wreath for All Seasons stamp set....an all-time favorite of mine.

I began by stamping wreaths on a Mix & Mat:  Pinked Edge die cut.  I stamped in Classic Kraft, Autumn Rose, Honey Nut, and Summer Sunrise.  I then inked the edges of my die cut to allow it to stand out from the background just a bit.

Next, I die cut a Scalloped Tag from Kraft cardstock.  I then stamped my wreath in Cocoa Bean with the berries in Americana.  My sentiment was heat embossed across the center of my wreath using gold embossing powder.

To finish, I added patterned paper across the center and added my tag using dimensional adhesive, and lastly, added a junk bow at the top.

I already have another project in the works using this beloved stamp set...can't put it away just yet!

I used contents from this kit to create a tiny gift box, complete with magnetic clasp and metal pull where a sweet, Christmas gift can be held.  

These tiny matchboxes resemble vintage books and are just the right size for a gift card, jewelry, and lots of other special gifts.  My favorite feature of this kit might just be the bubbles where a scene can be created with sequins and faux snow...love the shaker look and feel!

The tiny photo corner dies are also a favorite content of this kit.  I rubbed each with the Indian Gold Nuvo Embellishemnt Mousse to add shimmer and shine...love!


The stamps included in the kit allow you to personalize each handmade gift.  Betsy has truly thought of every, last detail to create such a memorable kit.  You can stamp the spine of the book with the current year or upcoming years.

I've used the gorgeous Fairy Tale Christmas stencils on my card along with the Indian Gold Nuvo Embellishment Mousse.  

The mousse is so much fun to create with, although I admit to being a bit intimidated at first.  I used a plastic knife to layer on my mousse over my stencil and loved the raised look and feel.  I then added stamps to build my wreath, including lots of berries and leaves.

To finish, I added a pre-printed die cut where I stamped my sentiment, added stamped and die cut berries and leaves, and then my tiny deer and snowflakes.  The rich, red velvet ribbon is also from the kit.  Notice the tiny, red mushroom in the center of my bow...also from the kit :).

Lastly, I created three tags using contents of this kit.  These come together so quickly with the sweet, pre-printed paper that just needs to be die cut and then assembled.  

The tags resemble tiny books, complete with inside pages where you can include "To and From".

I used dies from this kit to create windows in a couple of my tags...love the winter scenes these create.

I added velvet and sparkle cording to add texture and ties for each tag, and then sequins to each scene on the front of my tags.  Even the sequins in the kit are perfectly suited to this magical kit!

spellbinders large die of the month club...

Hello!  Happy, almost October!  The air has certainly got a fall chill to it and we've had the most gorgeous, brilliant, enormous, full moon lately for the fall harvest...I love absolutely everything about this time of year!

Have you heard of the Spellbinders Club Kits?  With each kit club you subscribe to, you'll receive various products each month.  My cards today use the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Kit for September.  These dies are perfect for this special and fun time of year.

The dies included for September's kit are the center square pumpkin and cat dies that I am showing on my cards today.  The frilly, outer die is also from Spellbinders and is the Ringlet Round Etched die and it can be purchased separately.

I used another die from Spellbinders across the bottom where I stamped my sentiment.  It is from the Pierced Banners Etched die collection and the sentiment is from Sentiment Staples:  Halloween mini stamp set from Papertrey Ink.

I used the very same die collections on both of my cards, just selecting different dies for the center image.  I love this little black cat :).

This sentiment is also from Papertrey Ink and is stamped on a different die from the same Pierced Pierced Banners Etched die collection as the first card.  I added a few speckles to my pumpkin and cat by using Stampendous Shabby Green Embossing Enamel and melting it in place.

The paper and cardstock stickers used are all from the sweet Bewitched collection from Echo Park.  It's a must-have collection for this fall!

Good morning!  I'm up on the Papertrey Ink blog today with a Make it Monday step-by-step tutorial showing how I used my pre-printed Papertrey Ink paper to create my holiday gift box.

I used plenty of the fun Bitty Big patterned paper, but what I'm referring to is the delightful,  pre-printed paper that is included in the mini kits, such as in the Holiday Hugs as used here on my first package.

The kits come with the paper and coordinating dies, but you can purchase the paper separately and free-hand cut the images too.

Pretty packaging is so easy and fun with these darling mini kits....simply create a tag and then choose a wrap, such as the Essential Pillow Box die used here on my first package.  Once again, step-by-step images are on the Papertrey Ink blog.

I created a couple of other samples for you, the first using the Halloween Hugs mini kit combined with the Petal Box Die.

I used a die from the Spider Web Trio die collection to create my tag, attaching images from Halloween Hugs over the top.

The Halloween Hugs Mini Kit is currently sold out, but the paper collection is available, which would allow you to create your tags by simple cutting images out from the pre-printed paper.

And lastly, I've used the Color Pop:  Autumn mini kit on my gift wrap that uses the In the Bag die collection.  

After assembling my gif bag, I embellished a die cut Scalloped Tag with images from the Color Pop:  Autumn kit and this little package came together in a hurry!

Using the pre-printed papers found in these kits makes creating so quick and easy, but at the same time you're creating something handmade and memorable for the special people in your life.

transformation tuesday...

Morning!  I'm here today with Transformation Tuesday for Papertrey Ink. You can see my original card that was my inspiration at the end of my post.  

I chose to use the basic card sketch from my first card because it is one that I loved and knew I could easily swap it out when in need of some inspiration.  So I transformed my first card using the sweet Merry Mug stamp set, into a winter card using the darling Winter Fox stamp set.

The design, colors, and Pierced Feature Frames:  Oval are the same, but I replaced the mug with my tiny fox and trees...even stamping my sentiment on a curve at the top of my oval.  Instead of using Sweet Stitching to create my background, I used snowflake images from the Winter Fox stamp set.  

My color palette is the same throughout both cards, Aqua Mist, Pale Peony, Sweet Blush, Stormy Sea, Spring Moss, and Poppy.

I challenge you to find inspiration in your own creations....if you have a favorite card that you've created, use the basic design and create more in different color schemes, themes, etc.

papertrey ink day 5...

Today is the last day of the fabulous September Papertrey Ink release.  I have loved creating for the holidays!  I am always so inspired when it comes to Christmas crafting :).  These last few products are stunning and I love them.

I have used the new Penned Elegance:  Winter and Seasonal Borders:  Winter stamp sets and coordinating dies on my first card.  I always love to stamp my florals on Kraft and watch the feel of the images change and transform because of the Kraft, and the Seasonal Borders:  Winter is so lovely on Kraft.  I used images from this set to frame in my Pierced Feature Frame:  Oval die, cut from some fun candy cane paper.

I stamped my Penned Elegance:  Winter sentiment on my cardstock base using watermark ink and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  This is such a classic and timeless stamp set.  I used Shabby Green Embossing Enamel on my tiny, Kraft snowflakes and love their run, chunky texture.  They remind me of gingerbread cookies :).

My next project uses the new Make it Market Mini Kit:  Poinsettia and Pine.  It's so lovely and makes creating tags such a breeze for your holiday packages.

I used Bitty Big Berry Sorbet paper and the You Have My Heart Envelope die to create a gift card holder.  After I die cut  my tag from the pre-printed paper included in the kit, I stamped my sentiment across the bottom using Olive Twist ink.

I then used Snowfall dies and Bitty Big Green Parakeet and silver cardstock to add jumbo snowflakes as embellishments.

papertrey ink day 4...

Morning!  Today's new Papertrey Ink products are so entirely irresistible!  I created my sleigh using the new Dashing Through the Snow Die Collection.  I could make 100 more of these little cuties and never tire of them :).

My sleigh was cut from Bitty Big Pure Poppy and I used white glitter cardstock for the intricate sleigh runners.  I then created a couple of tiny wreaths to dress up my sleigh using the new Glorious Globes:  September stamp set...I'm smitten with this one!

I wrapped up a Christmas treat in cellophane and added a tag to the top, which was stamped using the coordinating Dashing Through the Snow stamp set.  

My next card uses the new Shape Shifters:  Oval 3 die collection.  It is the most beautiful set of dies I have ever seen!  My base layer was cut from Pure Poppy cardstock.  I then used the new Pierced Feature Frames:  Oval and the Wonderland paper collection to frame in my intricate center layer.

I used the new Say it Simply:  Holly Jolly die to create my sentiment and embellished with more of the sweet Glorious Globes:  September stamp set.

I added in a bit more pattern and texture by using Bitty Big Aqua Mist paper and glitter cardstock behind my oval window.

Hello!  It's another delightful day of new Papertrey Ink products for September!  I created a pillow box gift wrap for my project today starting with the Essential Pillow Box Die.  Then came the fun...the toppings!

I created embellishments for my gift using the new Corner Adorner:  September stamp set and dies.  I love the tiny tangle of lights and will be using this set until it's worn out :).  

I then created a tag for the top of my pillow box using the new Pierced Feature Frames:  Oval dies, using Bitty Big Aqua Mist for my outer frame, and stamping my sentiment on the inner frame.  My sentiment comes from the new Words to Live By:  Joyful stamp set w/ its coordinating die.

papertrey ink day 2...

Hello friends!  Welcome to Day 2 of Papertrey Ink's September release.  Today I am sharing projects created using the new Sending Comfort stamp set and die and the  Hinged Gift Card Box:  Christmas Window dies.  These are all so much fun to work with!

My first card uses the beautiful Sending Comfort stamp set and die.  This set is perfect for those hard to create for occasions involving sympathy and comfort.  I used the new Pierced Feature Frames:  Oval dies to create my focal point and stamped my sentiment in Olive Twist ink on the center die cut.  I then framed it in using Chicken Scratch Gingham and stamped and die cut leaves and berries from the Sending Comfort stamp set.  I stamped in Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides, and Americana.

Across the bottom I used Smokey Shadow cardstock and the new Text & Texture:  Wood Slices stamp set along with Perfect Pearls in white.  You may also catch a peek at the new Shape Shifters:  Oval 3 die, cut from Wonderland paper.

Next up are a couple of fun gift boxes, created using the Hinged Gift Card Box and new Christmas Windows dies.  You can use these dies directly on the flap of the Hinged Gift Card Box die, but I cut mine separately from coordinating cardstock, layering them over the top of my gift card box.

This box was cut from Wonderland paper with the Christmas Window cut from Stormy Sea cardstock and layered over white cardstock.  I added leaves and berries from the Sending Comfort stamp set and added a large glittered snowflake cut from the Snowfall die collection.

The very same elements were used on this gift box, with the exception of the Kraft cardstock.  These are so much fun to put together and dress up for the holidays!

Lastly, I created a sympathy card using the Sending Comfort stamp set.  Aren't the leaves and berries beautiful?  I love the option of layering them over one another and the two-step stamp brings them to life.

I added dimension by cutting a couple of the leaves out, one from vellum, the other stamped and die cut using Honey Nut ink.

Once again, I used the new Text & Texture:  Wood Slices stamp set across the bottom, stamping in Autumn Rose ink over Autumn Rose cardstock.

papertrey ink day 1...

Welcome to Day 1 of the September Papertrey Ink Release.  What a great way to start off a Monday, huh?  This month is just loaded with the most beautiful products...let's get started with today's highlights.  My first card uses the new Sweet Stitching stamp set and Cover Plate along with the new Say it Simply:  You & Yours Die.

I used Vintage Cream cardstock withy Sweet Stitching Cover Plate and layered it over some red and black patterned paper.  Around the edges of the die cut I stamped images from the Sweet Stitching stamp set in Pure Poppy ink.  I then cut a block of black cardstock and melted embossing enamel over it before using the Say it Simply:  You & Yours die.  I only used a portion of the die cut and adhered it to the center of my card.

Next I used the new Sentiment Staples:  Christmas stamp set to add more to my sentiment, stamping in Olive Twist Ink.  I embellished my card with holly berries stamped and die cut using the new Merry Mug stamp set, stamping in Prairie Grass and Americana.  The corners were embellished using Snowfall Style dies and white glitter cardstock.  

This next card uses the sweet, Merry Mug stamp set and coordinating dies.  I am smitten with this sweet set!  I stamped my mug in Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, and Mint Julep ink, with the whipped cream stamped in Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, and Hibiscus Burst.

I embellished with tiny holly leaves and berries once again, stamping in Limeade Ice and Pure Poppy.  In the background you can see more of the Sweet Stitching stamp set, stamped in Hawaiian Shores on Aqua Mist cardstock. 

You can also catch a glimpse of the new Pierced Feature Frames:  Oval....these are must haves for sure!

Across the bottom of my card I used Bitty Big Pale Peony.  This is one of my favorite color combinations for the holidays.

reverse confetti september blog hop...

Welcome to the Reverse Confetti September Blog Hop!  I am crazy for the new Christmas Candles stamp set and coordinating Confetti Cuts used on my project today...favorites for sure!

I have used the darling Bag & Tags Creator Confetti Cuts to create my mini gift bag and embellished the front with my Christmas Candles.  I used vellum on the front side of my bag and partnered paper on the backside, and love the way the polka dots very subtly show through to the front.  I scored the backside of my bag twice across the bottom, allowing the bottom edge to fold up over the front of my vellum layer.

My candles are layered over a die cut Round Top Tag, cut from Sand cardstock.  After stamping my candles, I colored them using my Copics and then melted Shabby Green Embossing Enamel to their fronts along with my stamped holly leaves and berries.  I love the tiny pine sprigs included in the Christmas Candles set as well...they make such great fillers.

I then created a tag using the Bag & Tags Creator Confetti Cuts once again, stamping my sentiment on the top layer and embellishing with another holly and berry sprig.

DT Tips: Pattern Play...

Happy Friday!  It's my turn for Papertrey Ink's DT Tips and today I'm celebrating the patterns and textures of Autumn.  I love fall crafting and the variety of ways you can bring a bit of Autumn into your handmade creations.

I'll do my best to explain how I love to mix my patterned paper and textures.  The first thing that drew me to paper-crafting was, in fact, the patterned paper :).  This stuff is like candy to me and I can hardly create without incorporating a bit of it.  

On my first card, I have used the darling Shape Up Series:  Pumpkin and Pumpkin Sections.  I started with a base of Stormy Sea cardstock, knowing I would love little pieces of it peeking through as I layered on my sections.  I then selected my materials.  Corrugated cardstock is a must in my craft supplies.  I love its simplicity but also the way it can create character and interest so easily.  You'll notice that sections of my pumpkin and the Enclosed:  Leaf (veins) are cut from corrugated cardstock.

I also selected a tiny floral...florals are also a must when mixing and matching.  For this project, I needed a small floral because I could see that a large floral would be too busy mixed with my woodgrain, small polka dots, and plaid.  So when selecting your patterns, it's important to make sure that you've got a balance.  If you go with a large plaid like I did here, a smaller floral and polka dot would help balance it, instead of creating competition and noise between the patterns.  My sentiment comes from the Autumn Scarecrow stamp set, my flourish across the bottom is from the Autumn Adornments, and my stamped leaves are from the Forest Floor:  Autumn stamp set and dies.

On my next card, I have used the cute, cute, cute Apple Prints stamp set and coordinating dies.  I just knew these little apples would look sweet as can be cut from plaid and polka dots.

I used two plaids/ginghams on this card, which I normally wouldn't do when mixing patterns.  But, you can see that one is darker than the other, for a more subtle pattern, and the other is brighter and tipped on a diagonal, which takes on a whole different feel.  Try this:)...it's a fun way to use plaid paper.

One of my images is solid and was stamped, and then at the top is a simple, bitty polka dot.  I generally don't use large patterns on small die cuts, because you can lose the shape of the die from time to time.

The tops of each apple was cut from Spring Moss felt which adds texture and softness.  Love felt!  In the background, I used the Frame it Out:  Many Blessings stamp set, stamping in Classic Kraft ink on a Mix and Mat:  Brackets die cut.

My last card reminds me of everything I love about Autumn...it just has a cozy, warm feel to it, which is what the textures and patterns do...they make us feel something.

I began with a Mix & Mat:  Postal Die and then used the Window Works Die to cut a window in the center.  I layered it over soft, tan gingham paper.  I needed my background to be soft, in order to allow my pumpkin to show up properly and not get lost.

I then used a tiny floral paper and the Polka Dot Parade #8 die to cut my pumpkin, using dark green felt for my leaf, and corrugated cardstock for my stem.  My Ocean Tides felt heart was cut using the Traveler's Journal Passport Cover.

My sentiment comes from the Sunflower Harvest stamp set and the floral vine across the bottom from the Autumn Adornments stamp set.  Once again you'll notice that I added in a tiny polka dot from the Bitty Big Honey Nut collection and I added a medium size floral to compliment it, but not overpower.

I hope that gives you a little peek inside my brain:)...it's kind of something that you feel your way through and get the hang of with practice and lots of fun experimenting.

countdown to confetti: day 3...

Hello again and welcome to Day 3 of Reverse Confetti's September release.  I am SMITTEN with today's products...they just make me smile :).

I have used the darling Holiday Gnomes stamp set and coordinating Confetti Cuts.  They take center stage in lots of playful, juicy, holiday colors.  I used a variety of Reverse Confetti 6x6 paper pads in order to paper-piece my gnome and trees.  This is my favorite way to bring in color.  They are adhered to a die cut Fa La La Circle Confetti Cut.

The fun background behind my scene was created using the new Triangle Trees stamp set.  This is such a playful set and I can think of so many other ways I want to use it.  I tipped the trees upside and down, alternating them in order to create my pattern.  And the tiny sentiment is also from the Holiday Gnomes stamp set...I love its simplicity.

countdown to confetti: day 2...

It's Day 2 of the Reverse Confetti September Countdown and today might just be my most favorite day of the release yet!  My card was created with the new Cotton & Thistle stamp set and coordinating Confetti Cuts.

You'll have to check out the images included in the complete set of Cotton & Thistle to see just how darling this set is.  I used the bundle of blooms for my card, stamping my images on watercolor cardstock, adding a bit of water to make the ink puddle and pool, and then added color using my Zig Clean Color Markers...then more water :).  I also added melted embossing enamel to add in texture and personality.

Before adhering my Cotton & Thistle bundles, I tied them together using trim and seam binding.  My sentiment and wreath are from the new Fall Foliage stamp set...another truly delightful set, perfect for this time of year!

I used the Wreaths Confetti Cuts, cutting the wreath apart, and adding in tiny bits of it to create more depth and dimension to my wreath.

countdown to confetti: day 1...

Hello friends!  I'm happy to be here with you today, sharing fun, new products from Reverse Confetti!  Their September release is underway and is sure to inspire!

I have used the darling Frightening Friends stamp set and Confetti Cuts on my card, ink blending and using my Copics to add color to my spooky scene.  As always, I love the sweet and creating sentiments included in this set...so hard to choose one to use on today's card :).

In the background, I have used the new Cover Panel Triangles Confetti Cut, cutting it from black cardstock and adding patterned paper behind.  I then used paper from the new Abundant Autumn 6x6 Paper Pad along with Lacy Scallop Circles Confetti Cuts to create my outer circle.  I then used vellum and the Fa La La Circle Confetti Cuts to create my inner circles, followed by Buttercup cardstock, vellum, and the Pop Up Circle Confetti Cut.

embellished elegance...

Hello and Happy Early Autumn :)!  My cards today were created for Papertrey Ink for their Simple to Spectacular feature.  We were assigned the Embellished Elegance stamp set and challenged to take it from Simple to Spectacular.

Since I have a very hard time with Simple, let's go backwards and start with my final card.  I used the Embellished Elegance stamp set and dies on this card, layering my images and die cut/stamped images over a die cut Autumn Pumpkin.  I love the depth and dimension that stamped and die cut images give.  Notice that on each card, there may be different images used from the Embellished Elegance stamp set, only because I wanted to show you all of the beautiful options available.

My intermediate card uses the stamped and die cut Autumn Pumpkin once again, but I skipped the die cut and stamped Embellished Elegance images and stamped these images directly on my cardstock base, which was created using the Scallop Stackers:  Medium dies combined.   I love the tiny bit of Bitty Big Honey Nut paper peeking through the scallops.

I used a different "Happy" font from the Embellished Elegance, once again just to show the beautiful, versatile images included.  My fun "Autumn" sentiment at the bottom is one of my favorite stamps and is from the Monthly Moments:  September collection.  

My Simple card doesn't use any die cuts at all, it's just a one layer card, letting the gorgeous images in Embellished Elegance enhance the Autumn Pumpkin.  Since I wasn't using any die cuts on this card, I used the larger of the pumpkins from the Autumn Pumpkins stamp set, knowing it would take up a bit more of the empty space between my sentiments.

You'll notice that I only used one of the dies from the Scalloped Stackers: Medium die collection.  I thought I'd never be able to create a one layer card, but I kind of like this :).  Simple is very hard for me, but certainly a fun challenge with the Embellished Elegance stamp set!

I've used the sweet sunflower and leaves from the set on my card....cause sunflowers are my absolute favorite flowers :).  I've also used Seasonal Borders:  Autumn and Forest Floor:  Autumn stamps and dies.  I am kinda crazy about the fun, little mushroom found in Forest Floor, so I had to use it today :).

My sentiment comes from the Color Pop:  Autumn mini kit.

throwback thursday: ombre builders...

Good morning!  I, along with a couple of other Papertrey Ink design team members, have taken on the latest Throwback Thursday challenge, this time featuring the fun, Ombre Builders.  I LOVE this set more now than I did originally and am so glad to have pulled it out again!

Since I'm stuck on pumpkins and the darling Grins & Ghouls stamp set, I chose to use my Ombre Builders stamp set to create a Halloween card, using Summer Sunrise and Orange Zest to create my background.  The images in Ombre Builders are the perfect size to fit across the center of the Scallop Stackers Small die, which I've used here, cut from Vintage Cream cardstock.

I wanted to anchor my pumpkins, so for one of the images from Ombre Builders, I used True Black ink, creating a shelf of sorts for which to place my pumpkins.  I then added Corner Adorner:  August at the top, with the tiny spider and my sentiment opposite the web and added white shimmer paint to give it a little shine.

Lastly, I added sequins, and attached my card front to a Plum Pudding card base, and that was that!

spellbinders august blog hop...

 

Good morning!  Welcome to the August blog hop from Spellbinders!  Today I am sharing a card created with the Spellbinders Marisa Job Special Moments collection....this line is so beautiful!

I've chosen to use the Floral Oval die from Marisa Job, layering on layers of soft colors to create a simple card that looks like it may have taken me hours to complete :)...that's the beauty of these dies!  They are intricate but simple to use.

My center oval was cut from white cardstock with a block of vellum sandwiched between the oval die cut and a soft pink oval cut to layer behind it.  I wanted just a hint of color.

My floral vine was cut from patterned paper and my flowers were cut from white cardstock, colored with ink blending in pinks and oranges to bring in the soft color.  I embellished the center of each using adhesive pearls.

To finish, I simply added seam binding, a cardstock sticker sentiment and gold chipboard hearts.

introducing fence line: autumn + bold borders: foliage...

Good morning friends!  Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to the new Papertrey Ink, Fence Line:  Autumn stamp set and coordinating dies.  I ADORE these products and love creating with them.

I have used the beautiful, new Bold Borders:  Foliage die as the frame around my card, cutting it from Vintage Cream cardstock.  This was layered over a patterned paper card base.  I then used the Noted Simply Stitched A2 die to create the background for my autumn scene.

The pumpkins, wheat stalks, wagon wheel, scarecrow, and crow are all from the Fence Line:  Autumn stamp set.  The "For You" die cut is from the new Bold Borders:  Foliage die, and "Grateful" is from the new Forest Floor:  Autumn.

On my next card, I the Bold Borders:  Foliage die with corrugated cardstock, giving it a textured, dimensional look.  I then ran the die through my machine again, using gold glittered cardstock and snipped a few of the leaves from the die cut, adhering them to the original.

Inside the Bold Borders:  Foliage frame, I stamped images from the Fence Line:  Autumn stamp set.  I love the ability to build a variety of scenes using this fun set.

My sentiment is from the Glorious Globes:  Autumn stamp set, with my large leaves from the Forest Floor:  Autumn stamp set.

Lastly, I created an autumn tag using the new Shape Shifters:  Circle 3 die as my tag base.  The top layer was cut from Scarlet Jewel with the bottom layer cut from Saffron Spice.  

Next, I layered on my fence, pumpkins, scarecrow, and wheat stalks, allowing the fence to extend over the edge of the tag a bit for character.

I used thew Forest Floor:  Autumn stamp set and dies once again to create my tag, adding in an image from the new Seasonal Borders:  Autumn as well.

introducing frame it out: many blessings + simply gourd-eous...

Morning!  Welcome to another inspiring day of new products from Papertrey Ink.  Today we are introducing a couple of my  most favorite stamp sets from the August release.

My first card uses the new Frame it Out:  Many Blessings stamp set and coordinating die.  The sweet and intricate wreath around my sentiment uses that new die, while the sentiment comes from the coordinating stamp set.  

The new Simply Gourd-eaous stamp set was used for my fun, colorful pumpkins and squash.  I LOVE how lifelike they are!  I also used the new Seasonal Borders:  Autumn around the edges of my card, which was created using the new Scallop Stackers Small die.

My next card uses the Simply Gourd-eous stamp set and dies once again along with the Frame it Out:  Many Blessings stamp set.  I used the Mix & Mat:  Brackets die and Autumn Rose cardstock to create my focal point.  

The new Say it Simply:  Giving Thanks die was used to form a portion of my sentiment and then the second portion came from the Frame it Out:  May Blessings stamp set.

I can't quite stop using the darling Scallop Stackers:  Small die, so just be prepared for an overload using it :).

introducing Text & Texture: Leaves, Seasonal Borders: Autumn and more!...

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of Papertrey Ink's August release.  We are celebrating Autumn with today's beautiful products...there's so much to love!

My first card uses the new Shape Shifters:  Circle 3 die collection.  Isn't it just the prettiest image?  I love the delicate, intricate nature of it and matted it over Ocean Tides cardstock cut using the Mix & Mat:  Postal die.  

I then used the new Seasonal Borders:  Autumn stamp set and dies to create my woodsy, floral scene.  I stamped on Kraft cardstock using Americana, Autumn Rose, Cocoa Bean, Ocean Tides, Olive Twist, Plum Pudding, Ripe Avocado, Prairie Grass, and Summer Sunrise.  I then used the new Sentiment Staples:  Thanksgiving stamp set for my sentiment, stamping on a die cut Wine Bottle Tag #2 die in Plum Pudding ink.  My card base was cut from Scarlet Jewel and I used Bitty Bit Honey Nut across the bottom.  I love these warm, rich colors together.

On my next card, I used the new Text & Texture:  Leaves stamp set to create my background.  I began with watercolor cardstock and stamped my first Text & Texture:  Leaves image in watermark ink and then heat embossed using white embossing powder.  I then used the second Text & Texture:  Leaves stamp, stamping in Spring Moss and Aqua Mist.  Next, I sponged on Summer Sunrise ink to highlight some of the fall leaves. I used the Scallop Stackers Small die next, created the decorative edge behind the leaf background.

I framed in my leaf background using Spring Moss ink and the Pierced Feature Frames die.  The Paper Clippings:  Thankful for You stamp set was used to create the Autumn images in the corners of my card.  

Lastly, I used the new Words to Live By:  Gratitude stamp set and dies to form my sentient, once again using the Wine Bottle Tag #2 die for the second portion of my sentiment.

introducing you make my day, say it simply: wishing you...

Helloooo!  Welcome to the weekend and Day 2 of Papertrey Ink's August release.  My first card today uses the darling new, Glorious Globes:  August stamp set and dies, combined with the new You Make My Day stamp set.

The sweet, new Scallop Stackers Small die collection was used to create my card base (so in love with this) and I used the Background Basics:  Super Gingham stamp set in Autumn Rose across the top.

My sentiment across the bottom is from the You Make My Day stamp set, and is stamped on Saffron Spice cardstock in Honey Nut ink.  I used the new Shape Shifters:  Circle 3 die to create my focal point, using the Glorious Globes:  Autumn stamp set to add in my leaves and berries and tiny globe.

The new Say it Simply:  Wishing You a Lovely Birthday die was used on my next card.  It was cut from corrugated cardstock and I love the little bit of texture and dimension it adds.

Once again, I created my card base using the Scallop Stackers Small die and Sweet Blush cardstock.  I then added a layer of Bitty Big Spring Moss paper and seam binding before adding on my focal point.

The Noted Simply Stitched A2 die was used along with florals from the Botanical Bounty II stamp set (and dies).  I used Leaf Prints around the outer edge of my cardstock block and berries from the Glorious Globes:  August stamp set.  Lastly, I adhered my die cut sentiment and just love how bold it is.

grins & ghouls...

Hi!  Welcome to day 1 of Papertrey Ink's August countdown!  I'm so happy to be stamping pumpkins and all thing Halloween :)....you're in for lots of fun this month.

My first project uses the new Grins & Ghouls and A Bit More Grins & Ghouls stamp sets and coordinating dies.  I ADORE these sets!  I created a Halloween party favor using the Favor It:  Popcorn Bucket die, cutting it from Smokey Shadow cardstock and Bitty Big Smokey Shadow paper.

The new Corner Adorner:  August stamp set and die were used to embellish the front, where I added my stamped pumpkin.  

I created a tag for my popcorn box using sentiments from the Grins & Ghouls and the spider from the Corner Adorner:  August stamp set, using the Scalloped Tags die.  So much fun!

The playful, new Scared Silly stamp set and dies were used on my next little party favor.  I felt like turning on Monsters Inc. while stamping with this set :).

I used a mixture of bright and pastel colors to create my little monster, which is half the fun, and adhered it to the front of my die cut Favor It:  Box 1 die.  

My box was cut from Simply Chartreuse ink and then stamped with the large sentiment found in the new A Bit More Grins & Ghouls stamp set, using Simply Chartreuse ink.

I used the Scalloped Tag die once again, attaching the die cut tag and sentiment found in the Scared Silly stamp set.

reverse confetti august blog hop...

Hello my friends!  Welcome to the August Reverse Confetti blog hop!  Today's hop is going to be so much fun because it's all about patterned paper....one of my most favorite elements.  I went with an Autumn color scheme, using paper from both the 6x6 Paper Bliss and Fun Times paper pads to add color across the center of my card.  I love how the bright orange and green look on a neutral, Sand cardstock base.

I used the Large Eyelet Cover Panel in the background, stamping a subtle design over it using the Elegant Florals stamp set.  I then created a focal point using the Pierced Round Top Layers Confetti Cuts and the Pumpkin Patch stamp set and coordinating Confetti Cuts.

I brought in a few more florals using the Build A Bunch stamp set and Confetti Cuts.  Love this sweet set as it can be used for seasons throughout the year.  To finish, I added a junk bow and enamel dots.  I'm ready for some Autumn here, how about you?

spellbinders kit of the month club!...

Hello, beautiful friends!  I hope your week is off to a great start so far.  It's our last week of summer vacation here....school starts next week and I have mixed emotions about that whole thing :).  I love the routine, my daughter is so happy to be at school socializing and being involved, but I surely miss her and her company.  She's my light!

My card today uses the gorgeous Large Die of the Month from Spellbinders Kit Club...it's so intricate and lovely.  I just love everything about it!  The kit includes 4 different dies and I've used all of them on this card.  I cut each from white cardstock and then added color using a bit of ink blending.  

I used Scrapbook Adhesives foam squares to add dimension and depth, and adhesive pearls to add a little shine.  My sentiment is from the older Garden Variety stamp set from Papertrey Ink.

throwback thursday - ruby rose...

Morning!  Welcome August, huh?  I love this month because it means Fall is cruising closer :).  My card today was created for Papertrey Ink for their Throwback Thursday feature and this week we're revisiting the beloved Ruby Rose stamp set and dies.

I used the Shape Shifters:  Square 2 die to create my focal point, where I stamped my sentiment and attached my Ruby Rose blooms.  I LOVE the mixed fonts and flourishes used in this set for the sentiments....dressed up the simple flowers so beautifully!  I also used leaf images from the Sunflower Harvest stamp set.  

I stamped in Aqua Mist, Pale Peony, Lilac Grace, Spring Rain, Spring Moss, Mint Julep. Sweet Blush, Summer Sunrise, and Harvest Gold ink.  I thought the sentiment was so beautiful, I stamped it across my card base as well, using Aqua Mist ink, and love the fun background it created.

friendly frolic...

Morning!  It's hot and slightly miserable around here lately and I suppose I'm jumping the gun a bit, but I feel like crafting for Fall!  I used supplies from Simon Says Stamp's new Friendly Frolic release on my card today...such a fun release!

The new Friendly Frolic Diamond Pattern Wafer Die is beautiful and you can see it here, used as my background.  I cut it from scarlet cardstock, layering it over cream cardstock.  I added melted enamel splatters using Shabby Green Embossing Enamel from Stampendous.

Over my background, I added fun toppings using patterned paper and stamps from Carta Bella's new Fall Break collection.  Oh how I love this sweet new line....makes me happy!  To create a patterned paper border in coordinating colors, I used Fall Break paper along with the Spellbinders Lily Pearl Flat Fold die.  

I brought in texture and dimension by die cutting leaves from corrugated and glittered cardstock, two of my favorite elements.  Next, I stamped my sentiment from the Fall Break stamp set on a tag cut using the Round Top Tag from Reverse Confetti and then added a few enamel dots to finish.

stretching your dies...

Good Monday morning! I've got a new Papertrey Ink Make it Monday tutorial for you today that's all about stretching your dies and using them as stencils!

In my video, I'll show you how I've used the Mix & Mat:  Herringbone die to create a stencil, used on my background here.  This is such a fun, easy way to use your dies in a creative way.

simon says stamp - good vibes...

Hey, you!  Just popping in with something fun from Simon Says Stamp!  Their Good Vibes release is full of such inspiring products and I got to use the beautiful Hibiscus Frame Wafer Die in celebration of this release!

I colored my flower using ink blending and patterned paper and added melted enamel splatters to give it some depth and personality.  My sentiment comes from the More Essential Sentiments stamp set from My Favorite Things....love this set and the fun options included.

Behind my flower I used the Wonky Stitched Square Stax Die-namics to frame it in and give it a nice, solid base layer.  This card makes me long for sandy beaches and fresh, salty air!

bontical bounty sentiments + orchid expressions...

Hello!  I'm back with one more card created for Papertrey Ink's July release.  This may be my  most favorite card, just because it was so enjoyable to create.

My flowers are from the beautiful, new Orchid Expressions stamp set with coordinating dies.  I used one of my most favorite techniques on these flowers, stamping them on watercolor cardstock, with a spritz of water on the actual stamp, after ink was applied, and before I applied the stamp to the surface of the cardstock.  This creates, such a beautiful, soft, watercolor look, that lends itself so well to this stamp set.

I created a wreath using these flowers, adding in leaves from the Botanical Bounty II stamp set.  I used the new Scallop Stackers die in the background, and stamped my sentiment from the new Botanical Bounty Sentiments stamp set, in the center of my wreath.

New Papertrey Ink Products Used:

ombre sentiments: thinking of you + more!...

Today's new release products from Papertrey Ink are so much fun....I have loved this entire release, but sure had a great time creating with this mix of products.

I used the new Ombre Sentiments:  Thinking of You on my first card, framing in my sentiment with the new Pierced Feature Frames, and using the beautiful Bold Borders:  Prism in the background.  I heat embossed my Ombre Sentiment using white embossing powder and then used the fun color strip images found in the new Yellow Sunshine stamp set to create my wash of color across my sentiment.  I used Autumn Rose, Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst, Berry Sorbet, Melon Berry, Summer Sunrise, and Bright Buttercup.

I added in images from the new Fence Line:  Summer stamp set to create a serene Summer scene on this card.  

My next card uses the new Glorious Globes:  July stamp set combined with the Scallop Stackers and Pierced Feature Frames dies...these are such wonderful staples to have in your die collection.  My frame was cut from Chicken Scratch Gingham paper....love me a little gingham every now and then :).

I used the Mix and Mat:  Pretty Brackets die behind my vellum layer, and added in images from the Corner Adorner:  July stamp set...can't get enough of this set either :).  

I heat embossed the globe stand using gold glittered embossing powder, and stamped the sentiment using Spring Moss ink.  The fun tropical leaves are also from the Glorious Globes:  July stamp set and are stamped in Prairie Grass and Olive Twist.  To finish I added in die cut leaves using the Fancy Foliage die collection.  In the background I used Aqua Mist cardstock and Bitty Big Aqua Mist paper.

kit n' caboodle + sentiment staples: thinking of you...

Morning!  Welcome to another delightful day of new releases from Papertrey Ink!  My first card today uses the new Sentiment Staples:  Thinking of You stamp set.

I've also used the new Shape Shifters:  Square 2 die...such a fun one!  I turned my die cut into a stencil for the center portion of this, sponging on Hibiscus Burst and Summer Sunrise ink.  I then cut apart the outer edge of the die cut and framed in my sentiment, stenciling, and Corner Adorner:  July images.

I needed some florals, so I added in the beautiful Botanical Bounty II stamp set and dies along with some Bitty Bit Sweet Blush paper.

My next card uses the sweet new Kit N' Caboodle stamp set and dies....darling!  I used the new Scallop Stacker and Pierced Feature Frames dies to frame in my little tabby cat.

I stamped him in Summer Sunrise and Honey Nut, and added spots using a dotted image from Botanical Bounty II, stamping in Melon Berry.  My scallops and frames are die cut from Bitty Big Spring Moss and Mint Julep.

The sentiments in this set are so playful and unique.  I added a double sentiment to the top and bottom of my frame, stamping in Cocoa Bean, and added a third sentiment to a die cut Scalloped Tag.

New Papertrey Ink Products Used:

 

yellow sunshine + banners & pennants...

Hello again!  It's Day 2 of the July release for Papertrey Ink. My first card today uses the most creative new set, called Yellow Sunshine along with the coordinating die.

I began with Stamper's Select White cardstock and the new Scallop Stackers die collection.  I ran the scallop die through my machine at the same time as the new Yellow Sunshine die.  I then cut a solid scallop die cut to place behind.  Next, I ran the Yellow Sunshine die through several times with a variety of patterned papers.  Once they were all die cut, I layered my two Scallop Stackers die cuts together, and adhered the patterned paper in the openings.

The Yellow Sunshine stamp set was used to form my sentiment, with the second part of my sentiment stamped on a die cut Scalloped Tag and attached using Baker's Twine.

My next card uses the beautiful new Bold Borders:  Prism die along with the new Banners & Pennants stamp set and die.

I ran the Bold Borders:  Prism die through with very heavy, watercolor cardstock, which created a lovely embossed look, without the die cutting completely through.  I then sponged ink over my die cut using Spring Rain, Aqua Mist, Hibiscus Burst, Limeade Ice, and Summer Sunrise.  Next came a spritz of water to activate the watercolor cardstock.  

I created my sentiment using the Banners & Pennants dies and fun stamp set....perfect for adventurers, graduates, back to school, words of encouragement, etc.  I added a strip of Bitty Big Mint Julep paper and a portion of a  Scallop Stackers die cut.

New Papertrey Ink Products Used:

introducing corner adorner: july...

Good morning!  It's the first day of Papertrey Ink's July countdown and we're off to such a beautiful start!  I get to share with you a few projects created with the new Corner Adorner:  July stamp set and coordinating dies.....this might just be my most favorite corner adorner yet!

I used the Mix & Mat:  Scallops die, cut from Weathervane cardstock, underneath my lovely Corner Adorner:  July stamped die cuts.  The images reminded me of the intricate design found in the Mix & Mat:  Scallops and I wanted to try them together.   You'll notice that I have two layers of corner adorners....my bottom layer was stamped on Weathervane cardstock using watermark ink and then heat embossed using white embossing powder.  My top layer was stamped on Stamper's Select White cardstock using Lilac Grace ink.

I added my sentiment on a die cut Wine Bottle Tag 2 die cut, stamping in Lilac Grace ink once again.  The Forest Floor:  Summer stamp set was used to create my delicate flower.  The fun stitched rectangle and scalloped frames you'll see on my cards today are also new products you'll soon be hearing more about too!  I used Bitty Big Lilac Grace and Soft Stone paper to compliment my color choices.

This fun little card, uses a different image from the Corner Adorner:  July set.  I stamped in Berry Sorbet and also heat embossed my corner image in white embossed powder over Berry Sorbet cardstock.  I love this fresh, fun look.  

Once again, I layered my Corner Adorner:  July images, adding lots of dimension and depth.  The berries are from the Forest Floor:  Summer stamp set and are stamped in Pure Poppy, Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush, Summer Sunrise, Stormy Sea, Simply Chartreuse, and Ripe Avocado.

My sentiment is from the new Never Enough Thanks stamp set...full of fun sentiments!

 

Lastly, I created this card using dark colors mixed with some Sweet Blush....the sentiments included in the Corner Adorner:  July stamp set remind me of engagement and wedding season, so those occasions were created with this card in mind.  I used Smokey Shadow cardstock for my card base.

My inside corner images were stamped using Stormy Sea, with my outer corner images stamped in watermark ink on Weathervane cardstock and heat embossed using white embossing powder. 

I heat embossed my sentiment using silver embossing powder, and embellished with butterflies, flowers, and vines from the Color Pop:  Butterflies, Color Pop:  Florals, and Graceful Greetings II stamp sets.  I used Bitty Big Sweet Blush paper in the background, along with fun scallops from the darling new die collection you'll be seeing soon.

New Papertrey Ink Supplies Used:

reverse confetti july blog hop...

Good morning!  Today is the July Reverse Confetti blog hop and I have chosen to use the beautiful Elegant Florals stamp set on my card.  This set is going to sit permanently on my craft table because I LOVE it so much :).

I stamped my floral image on my white card base using Wine ink.  I then added my die cut square, cut using the Scalloped Squares Confetti Cuts and new Cue the Confetti 6x6 paper.  Next came my sentiment, stamped using the new Mod Floral Stack.

I then stamped my floral images on Stormy cardstock using watermark ink and heat embossed them using white embossing powder.  I added a bit of color using colored pencils.  I added them over my frame, layering the smaller floral stamp over the larger to add dimension.

Across the bottom, I added more Stormy cardstock that had been stamped in watermark ink using images from the Elegant Florals stamp set.

countdown to confetti: day 3...

I'm 100% crazy about the sweet critters in the darling, new Greatest Adventure stamp set and coordinating Confetti Cuts from Reverse Confetti!  

I stamped my images on Sand cardstock , added color using Copic markers and colored pencils, and then cut them out using the coordinating Confetti Cuts.  I added a few melted enamel splatters to my trees using embossing enamel.  The sentiments in this set have to be my absolute favorites!  I'm kind of a girl who loves her mountains and fresh air, and most definitely s'mores :).  I used the Boo to You Circle Confetti Cut to form my focal point and added my stamped images and sentiments over the top.

In the background, I've used more Sand cardstock and the new Striped Circle Cover Panel.  This is SO much fun!  I topped it with some patterned vellum to add softness, and also added a strip of paper from the new Cue the Confetti 6x6 Paper Pad.

New Reverse Confetti Products Used:

 

making minis...

Hello!  It's my turn for Papertrey Ink's DT Tips and my post is all about making minis!  These fun little notecards are the perfect size to tuck inside a lunch box, bouquet of flowers, wrap up with fresh, baked bread, and lots of other fun gifts.

And, if you're anything like me, creating a set of mini cards is extra enjoyable!  This gives me a chance to use many of the images and sentiments found in my favorite stamp sets, and use up my large paper scraps and unused die cuts.

You can create your own card bases by using cardstock or patterned paper.  I used the Noted:  Scalloped, Simply Stitched, and Pinked A2 Vertical die collections to create my card bases, selecting the larger dies from each and then simply folding them in half after I had run them through my die cut machine.

The Bitty Big paper collections in Pale Peony, Mint Julep, and Harvest Gold were used to create each of my card bases.  I love the tiny dots, plaid, and stripes that can be seen from underneath my sentiment and focal point.

I have been dying to use my sweet Brushed Birds stamp set once again, and these darling little birds were the perfect focal point for each of my mini cards...they truly bring a smile to my face.

In the background, I've used the Peonies on Parade stamp set and love the soft, subtle look they lend to these cards.  They add a very delicate, feminine touch, without detracting from my Brushed Birds.  There are so many fun sentiments to use on your minis, but I selected sentiments from the Floral Sketches stamp set...love them and the beautiful florals in this set as well.

I hope you'll pull out your favorite stamp sets and dies, and even your large paper scraps, and create a fun, little bundle of minis to have on hand for just the right occasion.

countdown to confetti: day 2...

Hello!  It's Day 2 of Reverse Confetti's July release, and today you're in for such a fun treat!  I've used two new sets on my card, the Mod Floral Stack, and Pattern Builder.

But first, let's start with that fun die cut you can see in the background.  It is the new Geo Panel Confetti Cut and is perfect for both of these playful sets.  My large, layered flower uses the new Pattern Builder set.  I think I could sit and be mesmerized with this stamp set and coordinating dies for days!

I used the Kindness Cards Confetti Cut to create my Lime Green layer, stamping the Mod Floral Stack stamp set in Lime Green ink.  I love tone on tone!  I then stamped my sentiment, also from the Mod Floral Stack set.  I brought in the Wreath Confetti Cut as well, creating a clean and simple wreath using these very  modern designs.  The paper across the bottom is from the new Cue the Confetti 6x6 Paper Pad.

New Reverse Confetti Product Used:

 

countdown to confetti - day 1...

Happy 5th of July!  Hope you all had a very special 4th :).  It's day 1 of the July Reverse Confetti Countdown and today we are introducing two gorgeous new sets....I love them both!

I used the new Elegant Florals to create my sweet border of flowers around my sentiment.  I stamped images from the Elegant Florals stamp set on a die cut Stitched Squares Confetti Cut.  I stamped in watermark ink and heat embossed using white embossing powder.  Once the powder was set, I sponged on ink in soft aqua, pink, yellow, and green.  I then added a spritz of water and added a big of color using my Zig Clean Color Markers.

I then cut a block of cardstock to fit the center of my square and stamped my sentiment from the new The Most Beauty stamp set.  This set is full of the most beautiful and thoughtful sentiments.  My card base was also stamped using lovely images from the new Elegant Florals stamp set.

New Reverse Confetti Products Used:
 

bold basics & color block stencils...

Morning!  Another delightful set of products from Papertrey Ink!  I've used the new Bold Basics stamp set along with the Color Block Stencils to build my background today.

The Color Block Stencils are so playful and allow you to mix and layer colors as you form triangular shapes.  The colors that result in the layering are always a surprise.  I also used the Stencil Basics:  Dots to add a bit of pattern to my background.  The lines you'll see on some of the triangles are from the Bold Basics stamp set, as well as the sentiment and outline.

I had to use the lovely Botanical Bounty stamp set and dies again just because they are so breathtaking!  They were used over my sentiment and stamped and heat embossed Stitch in Time frame.

turning a new leaf...

Hello there!  It's Throwback Thursday from Papertrey Ink and today we're revisiting the older, but well-loved Turning a New Leaf stamp set.  I fell in love with it all over again using it for today's project and will be using it more and more!

I used the large leafy, vine image from this set to create my background, stamping on Stamper's Select White cardstock using Bright Buttercup ink.  I love the crisp, clean look.

I then layered on Sheer Basics Vellum, butterflies cut using the Life is Good die collection, buttons, my sentiment from the Glorious Globes:  February stamp set, and a Delicate Details doily.  All of the supplies used can be found below.
